I would have bever imagined the sequence of events that i witnessed on Saturday night. Perhaps i was still thinkin this was Oscar of yesteryear, an Oscar who in his prime was vicious and gave his all. Last night was sad to watch, Oscar was unable to do anything at all, gone were the legs, speed, and most importantly, HIS will!
As a fan of Oscar since the beginning, nothing will change the fact that I will always be a fan. The end of the road is sometimes hard for both Fighter and fan.......
It's pretty sad indeed.
It would've been much worse had Manny knocked him out to top it off.
He might want to fight again, but he should just hang'em up and continue to be a great promoter.
By his own admission, he's accomplished everything he wanted in the sport.
No one would would disagree if he decided to retire.
Same with RJJ.
I wasn't sad. He had it comin for all the blasphemous shit he was spittin throughout the last few months. I will miss the DLH of old tho. Dude was a beast in his day.
Still cant believe how physically weak he was on Sat. He would have had brain damage if fighting a true WW on that night.

Oscar please retire, no need to lose to guys you would have beaten in teh past. I still cant believe how Oscar was so shot, like he was wearing concrete boots.
I don't think so, he wanted to go out better than that. Inactivity was DLH downfall. If he wanted to continue fighting after the Mayweather fight, he shouldn't have left it another year for his next fight.
Yes, inactivity was the downfall. The moment he decided to take long ass breaks and fight once a yr, that was teh beginning of teh end . He just didn't have anymore like when he was younger and hungrier. I never would have thought that Oscar would deteriorate the way he did, it was sad to see that.
This Fight Greatly crippled oscar's legacy...
I agree and I don't feel sorry for DLH, he wanted the BIG NAME fight and he could have retired a long ago.
I thought he should have retired after the Hopkins fight.

I know where you're coming from. I remember getting the Chavez vs DLH II PPV ten years ago and thinking no way will DLH be around getting beat up by younger fighters.
Oscar just didn't know when to leave the sport. I think he should have retired after the Mayorga fight.
