Larry Merchant is now comparing Mannie Pacquiao with the great Henry Armstrong. Other's have mentioned Mannie's name with the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson. This proves that the Pacquiao legacy is now entertwined with the greats of all time. If he's now in discussion as the GOAT, then surely he is the dominant fighter of the decade. Not even close. Even the undefeated Calzaghe and Mayweather aren't getting this level of props. Any boxing journalist that seriously talked about Mayweather as being in the same league as Armstrong and Robinson would get laughed out of the sport and end up here on this site as just another common nuthugger.

its not his skil its his legacy its his record and who hes beaten. yeah sure most everybody had marquez winning by 1 or 2 points but his record shows he got the best of morales barrera marquez and now de la hoya...
skillwise mayweathers special.. he would still be number 1 p4p if he was still fighting today. but for him to be remembered hed needa fight cotto.. margarito.. and whoever else
It's either Calzaghe or Pacquiao, if Calzaghe retires like I think he wil Pacquiao will definitely take it.
hell the f*ck no... calz aint got shit on pac... calz can't even lick pac's socks
Calzaghe isnt even in the picture of the most dominant fighter of the Decade.
He's in the discussion just as much as Floyd is...because of their undefeated records. But, this is a classic example of the fact that all the true greats have lost fights. All the true greats were willing to take risks in order to prove themselves as the best. This is the difference between Floyd and Pacquiao. Calzaghe's problem is that the other greats in his weight class waited until they were considered past their primes to fight him...ie..Jones and Hopkins.
I can't think of any other boxer who was flyweight champion then went all the way up the welterweight div. whooping as$es in a dominant fashion.
I think he desrves all the praises.
He deserves all the hate, too.
