Slow Calzaghe is like Chucky from Rugrats

Hes scared. How long can he continue to duck pavlik and dawson? This ignorant crap really gets tiresome. But let's humour you. Firstly, with B-Hop's demolition of Pavlik, the idea of Pavlik/Calzaghe became a joke. Unless Pavlik can rack up a couple of good wins at LH (which seems very unlikely, with everyone and their dog advising him to stay at MW where he belongs), end of. Secondly, as to Dawson, exactly how long do you think Calzaghe has been 'ducking' him? He only really even became a contender for a Calzaghe fight after the win against Tarver in October. At best you could maybe argue April after the Johnson fight (that many thought Johnson should have won). Calzaghe has fought on two occasions since then, against B-Hop and Jones jr. Those fights were arranged before the Johnson and Tarver fights, respectively. Both were big money fights (far bigger than Calzaghe/Dawson could have been), both were against true legends in the sport, and Calzaghe wanted to fight them and get wins over them on his record. Calzaghe is currently (as far as we know) considering whether to retire or not. If he doesn't - and in this game if you think it's time to quit, it's TIME to quit, there will ALWAYS be another Chad Dawson - there seem to be three fights that make sense. First is a rematch with B-Hop. Second is Glen Johnson.. the same Glen Johnson that Dawson scraped by and who does have genuine 'unfinished business' with Calzaghe. Third is Chad Dawson. If he takes any of those fights Calzaghe is 'ducking' nobody.. all pose a risk. So what it will come down to is money, profile and location which is why my guess, despite comments from Calzaghe, is a B-Hop rematch in Cardiff as a farewell fight. B-Hop deserves one,and frankly just not enough of the good people of Wales even know who Chad Dawson is.

what a damn idiot - pavlik has looked poor every time he steps up i weight he looked poor at 170 against hopkins and he didn't look as strong at 166 against taylor. at 175 which is now calzaghes weight, joe would ust tee off him all night and give another lacy esque performance. as for dawson, well lets say that he does beat dawson, whos to say the critics wont turn around and say that dawson is just another lacy. Yeah, Pavlik's a good fighter, but a one-trick-pony. Joe would win a nice comfy UD.
