Don't usually start threads, but one thing I didn't notice discussed anywhere is some praise for the commentary team on hatton malignaggi.
Lewis was much much better than usual and his analysis of what each fighter should do was spot on. For example he picked up very quickly on the opportunity for ricky to throw the right uppercut inside, and larry was also much more like a boxing pundit than usual.
One thing I didn't think pre, during or post fight analysis made enough of was Hatton's advantage in the footwork department. his defensive footwork is atrocious but there aren't many better at getting into a position to strike when there opponent is least expecting it. Most of Hatton's ramrod jabs and hooks came from him completely outmoving malignaggi. If only Hatton was taught defence 101....it was embarassing seeing him try to defend vs floyd!
Yeah Hatton sucks, he got stopped by shitty Floyd.
what is he now 45-1 only loss to Floyd at 147. At 140 he is much better and will give anyone a run for their money....Lefty
Lennox is underrated as a commentator, he spots out small things about fighters styles which makes for a good analysis.
Definitely. He deserves his accdolades as a commentator absolutely. Definitely.
hahahaha yeah Hattons footwork is great going forward did u guys see what floyd did to him when he went forward?

yep hatton's footwork is only good going forward, but there is some lateral movement in that, he doesn't come straight forward like a margarito.
Lampley wasn't on top form but lewis was so much better, I'd say that performance was his coming of age as a colour commentator.
Larry was on malignaggi early but it didn't take him long to switch sides when he saw how outgunned paulie was.
I give em 7 out of 10 as Larry and Jim got distracted at times and openly mocked the hatton fans in condescending fashion.
As far as Hatton's footwork goes he has an explosive step in but he's not exactly light on his feet laterally. The clean shots he got Paulie with were from battering him on the inside then timing his explosive step in 4 a wide hook as paulie got on his horse
Lennox did a hell of a lot better then he usually does. I felt like a proud parent hearing him improve. I did however get the impression that Larry thought it was going to be Paulies night from the beginning, which is suprising seeing as how Larry always likes the aggressive fighters. But its Larry, so its all good in my book.
