I seriously doubt it. I doubt he'll even last as long as Alfonso Gomez did.
This is a seriously laughable fight.
I think Jennings is neat and tidy, and he has a decent defence.
That alone means he'll do better than Lockett. Who was a come forward guy with no defence and was a light middleweight.
Of course Jennings will be knocked out(lol), but he'll make round 6.
10k on Jennings to make round 6 and beyond.
Jennings won't really come to win. If you go in with that kind of attitude with a tidy defence you'll get far into the contest. We've seen it time and time again.
I'd say Jennings is a better fighter than Gomez too imo.
Little Gary Lockett took the fight to the bigger, better man and got raped. Jennings won't.
He'll do better than Lockett did against Pavlik.
Looks skilled at the level he fights at, but Cotto is another world.

if jenning's cant beat young mutley, cnt see him beating cotto
I had jennings winning that fight but yeah he looked bad. He has looked a hell of a lot better since then.
I've seen Jennings a few times.
Always comes in top shape, good defence , points fighter who uses the jab well and has a decent workrate.Very likeable lad too. Not much power though.
I would say good domestic level fighter, maybe even a Europian standard but no higher than that.
To be honest he doesnt pose any kind of threat to Cotto. Similar to Pavlik v Lockett in terms of class difference.
I'd agree on all them points.
I think jennings might suprise a few people, i don't see it playing out like say pavlik vs lockett. I see this kinda like cotto vs gomez but more competitive. Cotto still knocks him out though.
Jennings has absolutely no chance of beating Cotto.
If anybody saw his post fight interview a couple of weeks ago concerning a possible fight with Cotto, he didnt look happy all & said "It will be a mammoth task, but if everything is agreed I'll go there & do my best".
Hardly the words of somebody looking forward to the biggest fight of their career.
I'll go for Cotto inside 4 rounds.
Jennings is a good dosmestic fighter, but Cotto will destroy him I'm afraid.

Here's some interview of Michael Jennings with highlights of his fights, so some of you can see him a bit in action:
I doubt he'll last long with Cotto. I say Cotto TKO 6 round.
If he can't put in a memorable performance against Kahn undercard opponents, he's in for a beating. What type of fighter is he though, if he's not defensive minded he's cruisin for a bruisin, lol.
He is an entertaining fighter, but I really wasn't paying much attention to a Khan undercard :lol1: He is a good boxer at the level he fights at, but the step up to Cotto is too big. He will try to outbox Cotto, and probably get broken down and stopped. He is a tough guy, with a good chin, but I doubt he will make it the distance.
I was hoping for a better come back opponent for Cotto, but oh well.
I've seen him fight 2 times on Khan undercards, but I can't really remember a lot about him tbh. He is a decent boxer, but no where near Cottos level. It will be an execution.
