Ive noticed every fighter thats trained with buddy mcgirt has lost with him as thier trainer! Not enough attention is brought to this subject, I mean here are just a few that fell victim to Dirt MCgirt:Brewster, forrest, tarver, gatti, chambers, banks(lets not forget the brutal knockout loss to miranda), Harrison and magic man. These again are just a few and theres no way someone could say that it just happens to be a coincidence that all his known fighters loose with him as trainer.
No disrespect to McGirt...but Gatti had to face Mayweather. Tarver had to face Hopkins. Brewster up against Klitchko. Magic Boy vs Hatton.
The odds were stacked against his fighters.
EXACTLY, my man...people need to understand that sometimes your boxers are at a level where they are matched DEEP... your win/loss ratio will suffer at that level....when he orchestrated Tarver's wins over RJ, Eric Harding, Johnson, etc., he was the toast of the town... in his defense, Buddy has been up against some tough, tough boxers in recent times...it's part the fighter, part the trainer...you have to know what to tell the guy, how to teach him and relate to him, when to say things, when to make certain strategy changes, etc...but the fighter has to be able to execute, too, for it to all come together...

yeah, maybe mcgirts spread himself too thin... he gotta be like roach, steward and such and just stick to 1 or a few fighters... that said he doesn't get the huge talents...
