According to Dan Rafael it did less than 10,000 buys.

Does that mean Marquez is yet to be a major draw?
No one coulda expected this fight to be a big hit on PPV. And anyways who gives a shit? Everyday more and more fans are talkin about PPV buys and drawin power like they're the promoter or the network that has a stake in it. Why the **** don't fans just kick back and enjoy the fights? I think all this PPV shit gets way too much play on here. As fans, we should be against PPV cards suckin up all of our money, and lol every time people refuse to buy one.
It was a fun watch. I knew Marquez wouldn't disappoint me, but I wasn't sure if Casamayor was just gonna resort to his dirty tactics.
I give Casa credit though, he came to fight and they gave us a very good competitive match. The KO was unexpected, but very welcomed!
Yeah, Casamayor was surprisingly clean in the fight although there were a few headbutts in there it was much cleaner than a normal Casamayor fight, very good fight.
It was a very good fight from a technical standpoint, one of the better technical fights I've seen in a while.

That's what I'm thinking. That would make much more sense. Either way, I don't mind admitting that I contributed to the buy total. I knew it wasn't gonna be a battle of the ages, but I knew it was gonna be a world-class boxing match! :boxing:

Maybe it's a typo, maybe he meant 100k?

Does anyone know for sure what the actual figure was??? Under 10,000 seems WAY too low a number. It just seems that having been on Mexican Independence Day weekend and him being a fairly big name, it would've done better than that...maybe 100-150K???
