I'm sure Manny's punches will have more pop, but don't forget that Oscar also won practically every round against Forbes.
I think Manny will give Oscar fits in the beginning, but Oscar should stop him somewhere between 8-10 rounds. Pacquiao's heart will carry him the last couple of rounds.
I disagree.
I think Manny will have to adjust to Oscars power early so the first few rounds will be given to Oscar... however I believe that during those first few rounds, Manny will use his speed to land a couple of shots to the face and body just to break Oscar down a bit for when he gets tired.
When Oscar gets tired, Manny will have to rip Oscar to the body.
That paired with the fact that Oscar is pretty frail (steve forbes& Hopkins bout) would mean that those punches should at least give Oscar a few fits.
In order for Oscar to K.O. Manny, Oscar will have to hit Manny with his jab a few times at the beginning of a combo and find a way to land that left hook of his while Manny is coming in or is on the ropes.
I dont think 1 left hook will do it though, Forbes didn't go down once in his fight with Oscar.
If Manny is going to KO Oscar, it'll probably be due to a cut or the corner throwing in the towel (a la Barrera). I dont think Oscar will go down.
even a shot drag queen is better than david diaz. it's a big jump up from 135 to 147
Same thing about Forbes
And going down 3 pounds at that age THROUGHOUT TRAINING CAMP forces you to struggle during training camp. Thats bad for a guy Oscars age. And considering that Oscar was frail during the Forbes fight I'd say Oscar is going to get busted up even more in this one.
IDK, about Manny losing this fight.
If your cheekbone breaks against a pillow puncher, whats going to happen when you get hit by a power puncher?
I know Manny wont have as much power moving up, but c'mon He's got way more power than Forbes.
Now I know Oscar won every round against Forbes, but you have to remember that Forbes was inactive during the fight. When Forbes threw Forbes hit Oscar with THE CLEANEST punches of the night. Oscar just landed a ton of semi effective but flashy combos. I'm not saying Forbes won...he still lost badly but my point is that if Forbes were more active and talented he would have done some REAL damage to Oscars face even if he is a pillow puncher.
People keep saying that Oscar's going to KO Manny. But when was the last time Oscar has KO'd someone? He could'nt even KO Forbes.
forbes is a more accurate puncher than manny, although he doesn't have manny's power. forbes can be outworked, usually how he loses. i'm not sure manny will hit dlh as clean as forbes did, he'll be a lot slower than we're used to seeing him
the drag queen knocked mayorga the f.uck out a year or two ago, that was the last time de la fishnets knocked someone out

One thing that has to be taken into consideration is that Forbes is used to fighting big guys, Pacquiao isn't used to fighting someone so much bigger than him.
good break down
You gotta give it to Pacquiao, he's got some balls taking this fight. Sure, he's also making the biggest purse of his career...probably the same he's made for his past 3, 4 or 5 fights combined, but he's training hard and like I said, he'll surprise a lot of people by putting up a good fight while it lasts.
In the end though, even at his past-his-prime stage, Oscar ain't no pushover...especially for someone coming up in weight that much. Sooner or later, Oscar's left hook will start finding its mark and that should be the beginning of the end of Pac in this fight.
Forbes busted up oscars face, and he had a fracture to his cheek or something to that effect, will manny be able to do more damage to sway the judges?
