Vitali. I just see this as repeat of the Thomson fight; if Haye can't take Vitali out (which does seem likely, if far from certain) I can't see any 'plan B'. Haye's defeat then had nothing to do with a 'glass jaw', but he ran out of both steam and ideas very quickly.
I think Haye has the talent to beat either Klitchko, but in Vitali's case at least he needs more experience, and a range of tactical options and adaptability he currently doesn't have.
id give vitali a very good chance of winning this fight- however haye does have the skills and speed to outbox him, its only a question of will hayes chin hold up, and will he fade late like he did at CW- or was his fading due to weight issues???
intriuging matchup, but from what ive seen of haye at CW/HW so far, vitali stops him late, due to hayes stamina and chin issues
BUT, if haye gets a couple more fights at HW before taking on klitschko, and it is shown that his stamina and chin problems were caused by making 200 lbs, id give haye a good chance
Interesting, you actually think Haye would be the one who racks up the points in that fight and Vitali would be the one looking for the KO? I would think it would be the other way around, it's VERY hard to beat either Klitschko with points, I don't think Haye would be the one to do it, he gets tagged by jabs way too much and by the mid rounds he would be very aggressive and desperate for a KO, if he is not KO'd already.
I'm not a fan of Haye but when I see how he fight, he has a better handspeed and quickness to beat Vitali.
with his fight against Barrett He is not the aggressor but he is the counterpuncher. and that will make the fight interesting.
Well when your opponent barley tries its not much of an achievement, Out of the hundreds of heavyweight title fights i have seen that was one of the worst performance from a champion. Haye cant do any worse than that lame performance.
that was the best Peter could have been for the Vitali fight. Vitali frustrated Peter and just controlled the fight
 So a guy after 4 years without a fight beats a current title holder 8 straight rounds before making him quit on his stool, isn't the least bit impressive to you?
Now you think Vitali will mostly likely win but pick Haye to win?:pat:

Haye is just getting his feet wet in the heavyweight division. A brutal KO over a fading Monte Barrett is another nice notch on Haye's resume. He has nice potential to go far.
But to be picking him this early in his heavyweight stage over someone who has been a heavyweight their whole career, AND, who's faced some big hitters himself and done well....I don't get it.
Seems like lots of guys are forgetting that Vitali was off a long time, came back against someone who lots of bandwagoneers claimed was the 2nd coming of Tyson and when Vitali KOed Sam Peter, well, now they're on David Haye's express.
David Haye is a dangerous puncher who seems like his head and his heart are both focused. I like him a lot. But being realistic, let's not bury Vitali Klitschko just yet. You're only as good as your last fight, and Dr Ironfist looked awesome last time out.
Lets see David Haye against some more heavyweights before we crown him the P4P best in the world. Personally, I'd love to see him against someone like Juan Carlos Gomez next. Each time Haye fights one of the big boys, we get a better idea of where he's at and where he's going. Right now, too early to crown him the King.
I was never impressed with Peter but i admit i thought he would beat Vitali as i thought Vitali would be completely shot but he wasn't, Peter looked ok in his 2nd fight with Toney but didnt look that good against McCline or Oleg.
Yeah but Vitali hasn't had a tough fight for years we don't know how well he will deal with a quick fighter and beating the walking punch bag sam peter was not that impressive, I only picked Haye because i am a fan i think Vitali will most likely win but if Haye beats him i will bring this post up for you.

Vitali stands too tall and firm to be made that vulnerable by Hayes speed or movement. Plus he's tough with a good chin.
Haye needs to take 1/2 fights before Wlad, let alone Vitali.
Human punching bag? Not too many people thought of him as that after beating James Toney (2) times and giving Wladimir hell. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I bet you thought Peter had a pretty good chance to win before he got pummelled too. Haye has zero chance of beating Vitali. Fan or not, you know he is no Lennox Lewis and surely you know that either Klitschko will get ahold of him. And when they do, do you think Haye can take that power for more than a few rounds? I seriously doubt it.
>Please do keep me in mind if the fight comes off and we can bet.

Everyone on this list is now being exposed to not knowing jack-crap about boxing.
andy_86, ATFsven, B.A. Sherif, bigflip55, boxa__ali, chrismart83, DavrosPremuleas, Fidayeen, F•R•K•O, Ian_ST24i, Karrie33, Merseysideblood, minto83, Oriachim, piye, Pullcounter, Sage84, SpArKeD-CoLd, Testdead, Zhaakal
If you are on this list and chose David Haye, who beat Monte Barrett while being knocked down , you should be ashamed of yourself for either kidding or being serious.
Please bet me if the fight comes to fruition.

Who do you think wins this after seeing Haye fight at heavyweight on Saturday , just wondering who yous got .
haye has good chance against vitaly... vitaly is old and robotic.
Vitali knocks him out every single time.
Haye could and would have to have a round like Hide and rinse and repeat it 12 times. Un-f.ucking likely. Haye simply can't afford to get hit and he will.
Pretty much a massive mismatch.
He has a chance against Wlad because Wlad gets nervous and panicky and has a modest chin. Even then Wlad would probably just be smart and refuse to engage for about 4 rounds and lean all over Haye and knock him out after.
I've change my mind of this fight after really thinking about it.
call me a fool but i got haye in this one, i would like to see him fight a james toney or tony tompson first, then wlad, then vitali, right at this moment vitali is to much but by the time they get it on i belive haye will have at least one or two more hw fights under his belt and vitali will be talking about some f**ked up injury and get disposed of by the hayemaker "peeleft:
Vitali is too much for Haye, but he beats Wlad due to a crystal chin.
Wlad has been running scared of anything remotely resembling a punch for years.lol...thats why he took on Peter (the indestructable force with massive power..at the time at least)
now kill yourself :boxing:
People seem to forget that Hide actualy won the first round against Vitali who couldnt deal with Hide's speed very well but then the air from one of Vitali's punches knocked him out. The same thing could happen with Haye though.
ppl like you forget that VK was pretty green back then also.
VK KO's Haye within 7
