HBO would push taylor for Joe its obvious, Wasnt taylor HBO posterboy before he lost to pavlik?? Joe would beat Taylor easily.

I want to see Dawson fight him, he needs that one solid Prime american win..non of this...o0o0 ill pick taylor cause he looks a little easier to fight, even if it would be a good fight.

Easy fight and gets the WBC title. i wouldnt bet against froch in that one... it depends on how serious jt takes the bout and his training.... if he were smart, he'd stay in the gym after last nights sparring match....

I'd rather see Calzaghe retire and see JT vs Kessler thats a better fight. JT has peaked and is on the slow decline. jt kessler would be good. whoever said that jt is an elite fighter with a sub-elite mentality is right on the money. he needs 1 or 2 tune-ups to get his mind right. i propose taylor-miranda! than he may have the confidence to try and tackle big-euro-guns like froch and kessler who are very dangerous....

Taylor doesnt want Calzaghe. Joe is a bigger champion, gets bigger crowds, bigger PPV numbers, has a better record, is a bigger name and makes more money and yet the first thing that Taylor says is that he expects Calzaghe to come to him, because he wont be going to Wales. Compare that to Kessler, Dawson, Johnson and Hopkins, all of which have recognised that Calzaghe has the power at the moment and that they'd be willing to travel to them and you'll realise that what Taylor is saying is effectively "No thanks". HBO is just trying to put options out there for Calzaghe. He's got Hopkins, he's got Taylor and they mentioned Dawson last week. No way Calzaghe's retiring IMO. Taylor showed a little more patience but his confidence is not the same. And Lacy confirmed what we already knew about him. I think Taylor would be better served staying at 168 and building himself up but, contrary to what some of you think, he's no spring chicken. He'll be 31 next year and doesn't have much time - especially a fighter like him who relies so much on athletic ability. I'm not sure Taylor beats Kessler but that would be a pretty good fight. I'm not sure what Taylor's camp is thinking but if I'm Palle, I jump on it.

I realized it long ago. The general media want Calzaghe to have more Ws in his resume and they could care less if it is vs an over the hill fighter. They know Calzaghe has one good asset: He is very active and has good stamina. They will try to match him up vs ANYONE who can't: KO him fast and fight for 12 rounds. They should be promoting the Dawson vs Calzaghe fight. Fact is, Calzaghe wont go back down to Supper Middle, and dont see Taylor fighting at Light Heavy. Dawsons the best bet here... Give Calzaghe his biggest test. The fight will also gain recognition as they are the best 2 light heavys in the world. I don't understand HBO sometimes...
