Your Order Of Preference For Joe's Next Opponent out of the Following......

There are only three, maybe four acceptable fights at LHW. Hopkins II and Dawson are the two obvious ones. I don't need to get into why clearly. I wouldn't protest a Glenn Johnson fight either, though I wouldn't pretend to 100% understand the logic. Also, I suppose if he could somehow get Erdei in the ring than the lineal title and unification is enough of a reason. That would be disappointing though. He could also move up to cruiser if he wanted to, but I don't think that'd be a smart move.

Germany (ie Team Ottke) had ZERO interest in ever seeing that fight. Yeah, that's true.

Yeah, I edited my post to add that I wouldn't mind Johnson getting a shot because a lot of people thought he beat Dawson so he's deserving of a shot. Calzaghe wasn't willing to risk going over to Germany to fight Ottke so I don't think he'd risk going over there to fight Erdei, especially now when he can get higher profile fights. I agree that those are my top two, but I would not mind seeing Joe take on Glen Johnson. Whooping Erdei would be nice, since Joe is the only one who might risk fighting him in germany.... then again, maybe not at this stage in the game. maybe the prestige of the shot would entice erdei to come out of hiding and fight in wales. i forgot to add Diacanu (sp?!?) to the list.... he doesn't really deserve a shot either though. **** it, he should just fight john ruiz at heavy, even though the quiet man doesn't have a title (though he should after beating valuev twice). Bad Chad or X. I think the speed of Dawson could give some trouble to Calzag's and I give him a good chance of winning by a UD. Then there is Hopkins who can also take a SD or UD, depending and how he shows up come fight night. Those 2 are my only choices...:boxing:
