Another thread proving that Ricky has been mostly underrated, not overrated. It's funny that there were those in this thread thinking Paulie would box Ricky's ears off, and as soon as Ricky completely dominates him they turn around and say Paulie is s**t.
paulie wasn't really koed, buddy stopped it where as paulie didn't look hurt and looked like could of kept fighting and wanted to keep fighting
ye he definitly could of finished it,and if he was a guy with power in his hands buddy wouldnt have stopped it
but he was so far behind taking more and more punishment i can see why they stopped it
he will lose a close decision. Paulie fights a style that makes it hard for opponents to ko him.
you're making him sound like balboa, where his only chance of winning is by KO... newsflash, hatton only has a 67% KO rate.
You're only as good as the last opponent you fought, you fight weak opposition then you get too comfortable... Know what I mean? The last guy he fought, I don't even remember his name but he seriously hurt hatton like in the 10th round, and then something fishy happened with the ref to save hatton in my opinion.
Then Malignaggi is ****ed because he got a SD that could have gone either way against a guy he previously shut out.
Ok, he may not KO paulie, but I believe the ref will stop the fight. I believe hatton > cotto at 140lbs.
Never, hatton doesn't have cottos reach advantage which makes Hattons jab almost useless.
Because he's still a better fighter than Malignaggi.

Hattons last couple of opponents were jokes except for mayweather who dominated him fully... So, how is hatton going to win again?

Malignaggi, regardless of his appearance, is a tough guy and can obviously take a beating as we saw against Cotto so I really don't think Hatton will be able to knock him out. Since Paulie throws a lot of jabs he should be successful at keeping Hatton away from his body unless Mayweather Sr. taught him how to slip punches Tyson style to get in there. Honestly, I think Hatton loses this with Malignaggi outboxing him to a decision.
Has Hatton really had that much trouble with guys who jab. Mayweather f.ucked him up because he threw power shots from the get go. Collazo was pretty much the same deal.
When has someone jabbed Hatton to death, I'm trying to think of one. Even Eamon Magee provided Hatton with all he could take because he just let hooks go from the start.
I don't think you can beat Hatton with just a jab. My opinion, Hatton isn't great but to beat him you need to hurt him. Otherwise his footspeed will get him in, and you'll have to fight him once he is there. I don't think Malignaggi can.
Mayweather in actuality for a lot of that fight didn't outbox Hatton (Hatton won't let that happen, he is right there, he's fighting not boxing), he just outfought him and tore him up on the inside.
