And they'll game plan will crumble. Jones was doing really good in the first two rounds and he gets hit with a couple of nice shot from Zalghe and he can't do shit anymore. And don't tell me his stamina was gone because RJJ in round 2 was a totally different RJJ in round 4.
Now when it comes to Mayweather, in all his fights I've seen Mayweather get "ruffed up" (as hit flush with a couple of NICE shots) twice.
Castillo (first fight) won SD
DLH won SD
What I'm trying to say is aren't they too finess for "ATG" boxers? I mean Calzaghe gets KD'd by both Hopkins and RJJ and he comes back better in the ladder rounds (I thought B-hop won), JMM was down three times in the first w/ Pac-Man and he came back to get a draw (I thought JMM won)
I guess what I'm trying to say is, their weak, mentally weak. No heart. My man AA fought 8 rounds with a broken jaw and he broke that jaw two other places because he fought those 8 rounds. Do you ever think Mayweather or RJJ, as "ATG's" would ever do that? I know here in the US the doctors would have stopped it, but do you see either one with enough mental toughness to be able to do that? I mean I see B-Hop doing it, I saw Pac-Man doing it, I see JMM doing it, ALI did it, you get my drift..............
1st Castillo fight Mayweather fought with tore rotator cuff.
How about that sieve of a defense?
How about not winning a playoff game in 15 years but yet having everyone say you will win the superbowl? How does that work?
how about that nice cast of felons they are assembling over there?
Overrated as always and the queen team of bandwagon fans.
There not my cup of tea either, but even ill admit that they were looking exceptional before the injuries started. Then brady got injured so it was only natural to assume they had a good shot of winning the bowl. My team is the Titans and you see what happens when you stay loyal long enough.
Thank you for proving what I was trying to say.
Hey man i know you were pissed when RJ got his ass kicked, but why did u have to go and bring floyd into this. Everybody knows floyds the man.
word.
I mean damn to say Mayweather has no heart is insane and IMO the signs of a man who didn't care for boxing until HIS fighters came on the scene. My guess is he started watching Floyd right around the Gatti fight.
I'm gonna agree. Gatti sounds about right, especially since it seems he missed most of Jones' career.
Do yourself a favor and find a new sport. This one may get too confusing for you soon. word.

Mayweather has been hit with some very nice shots against Jesus Chavez, Emmanuel Augustus, Demarcus Corley, Zab Judah, and others. However, in all of these fights, especially against Augustus, Chavez, and Corley, Mayweather stood in there with them and traded blow for blow.
Roy is a different story, I think that at any point in his career he would have lost to both Glen Johnson and Joe Calzaghe. Roy is not at all a technically sound fighter. And it really showed in his last fight. To be honest, he looked very amateurish in how he depended so much almost exclusively on the right hand and did not know how to fight in the pocket. When Joe came inside to trade, Roy didn't know at all what to do except cover up. He also doesn't throw in combination. He especially didn't understand to throw combination and not one punch at a time when he had Joe in trouble. Instead, he just loaded up the right hand that most good fighters could see coming.
Floyd has shown that he can fight from the outside, in the pocket, and at mid range and still be effective.
Seeing this, it's hard to see them being in the same class of fighter.

People assumed the same bullshit about Paulie. Then he fought a bunch of rounds with a busted orbital bone agin Cotto.
Firstly. If you think Floyd Jr. is any kind of mentally weak. You are a fucking moron.
And lastly. You know shit about the sport if you really think the mental or stylistic approaches of Jones Jr. and Floyd Jr. are comparable in any way.
And don't forget Abraham wanted to quit and retain his belt. It was only when he knew he couldn't pull that shit that he wanted to fight on.
Worthless bullshit thread.

Mayweather beat Castillo by UD.
De La Hoya barely landed any of those shots that he flurried with if you watch it in slow motion. Mayweather cleared the 130 lb division up beating the best of the best at that division at that time, then moved up to 130 won a belt, 140 won a belt, 147 won 2 belts, and 154 won a belt, and regardless of what he says hes still not done. Your saying Calzaghe is more of a candidate to be a ATG because hes been dropped and got up and been tough in the eyes of diversity? Mayweather has never been knocked down due to another opponent's punch. One KD in his career and that wasnt even from a punch, it was due to him hurting his hands.
the truth is mayweather and bhop are of the same mold... their boxing is based on sound fundamentals and incredible ring savy.
Calzaghe and RJJ are of the same mold... great athleticism. Once Calzaghe's speed / stamina is gone he'll get whupped.

How the hell is Mayweather mentally weak? And Jones has no heart? Mayweather is mentally one of the strongest guys out there, do you think it was just his athleticism that gets him through his fights? And Jones fought through with his eye cut bleeding out the whole side of his face and was still man enough to smile at Calzaghe round after round even if he had nothing left inside.

HIT THEM HARD
..
And they'll game plan will crumble.
Damn, it's that easy?
I wonder why no one ever tried that before?
Geez.
You're the one who said Mayweather could make 140.
I'm wondering why he isn't going down to 140 to make some money.
He obviously didn't want to tangle with the big boys of 47.
But he can make 140 you say?
If an untrained Mayweather weight in at 159 on that wrestling gimmick what makes you think he cannot make 140???
If an untrained Hatton can come to camp weight 170ish and still make 140 then Mayweather makes 140 easily.
hey, don't goall crazy on me! We're here to have a conversation. Now, he BARELY beat DLH, why? DLH was playing rough with him and Mayweather was thrown of his game. But we have numerous "ATG's" who stay the course, no matter what. What is that from? Isn't that mental toughness? Look at JMM vs Pac I, isn't what JMM did all Mental toughness?
Mental toughness isnt only about coming back from a knockdown to win mate, Mental toughness is fighting against adversity in the ring...Danny williams fought with a dislocated shoulder to KO potter with one hand, Arthur abraham fought on from the 5th round with a broken jaw till the end of the fight, Ali fought ken norton with a broken jaws, Mayweather fought on against Carlos "famoso" hernandez with a broken hand...He fought Castillo (A prime) with a torn shoulder..............Thats is mental toughness with someone coming off a KD.
