For a long while now i've been doing nothing but cunting Calzaghe off for being this and for being that but after last night, i have to admit i was wrong. He was quality and was annoyingly good, even the showboating was Roy like(even though he OTT on it!). I reckon my hate for him came to the boil when he signed to fight Roy, and me being a Roy Jones nuthugger, i wanted to believe Roy could turn back the clock. But even more annoying was the fact i knew Joe was in a strong position to beat Roy and put another nail in his coffin and as a big Roy Jones fan, that's a real hard pill to swallow! Hence the reason why i took it out on Calzaghe. You could say am bitter(which i was) but Roy was one of my childhood heroes(still is) but the way the fight panned out last night for Roy, i nearly cried my ****ing eyes out. He was brave but a shell of his former self. It was real hard to watch and coming on here didn't help but shit happens. Anyway, well done Calzaghe! You deserved it and you've proved me wrong. people think that joe is still in his prime... at 36 lol. see, theres no denying that roy is shot, but joe is past it as well, so his dominant performance against roy should earn him respect. imo, a past calzaghe easily defeating a shot roy means that prime for prime it wouldve been a competitive fight. ofcourse roy would still win, but it wont be a shut out. Joe is 36 and only threee years younger than RJJ. It seems that because Joe was so good, people forget that he is past what is traditionally known as "peak" himself. Ricky Hatton should have grown Morrissey hair for PBF. Morrissey could have walked Ricky to ring and worked his corner and organised Ricky's hair in between rounds.
