What happened in this fight, maybe I should download it. It was a war, both got hit a lot, one guy almost got knocked out only to come back to knock the other guy out, really good fight but the skill level wasn't great.

I don't want to ruin everyone's day, but... This Mtagwa guy, in a fight previous to this, lost to... None other, than... BILLY DIB! FTW That should tell you how insignificant this result will be to boxing's elite. I think that reason alone is the reason that it won't get FOTY. People are comparing it to Gatti-Ward, but... Ward got title shots and Gatti held a title. Neither of these guys will ever hold titles, guaranteed.

Entertaining fight, neither one had any defense. People tend to overrate brawls though, and memories certainly are short. Vasquez-Marquez III is still easily a lock for a FOTY.
