hey when are we gonna drink? are u back at the gym? last time i saw u, u were munching some carl's jr.
lmao, havn't even started running im wasting time eating at carl's jr.
I call those "silent agreements," like don't hurt me kind of stuff. To some people it relaxes them to have their opponents show signs of humanity. They don't want to face someone who is cold-blooded and looking to kill them.
Ever notice how Ricardo Mayorga touched gloves with Tito Trinidad before the eighth round and Freitas did the same thing the round he quit in against Corrales? It's a concession of weakness, they both knew they were done and were showing signs of surrender.
i actually did notice that. it got me thinking: i've seen a lot of fighters touch gloves at the beginning of the round they get knocked out in.
you touch gloves before the fight starts. no need to do it again. it happened so fast i doubt the kid even realized what was going on. he was probably thinking, "ok, i'm going to come out hard with a left hook."
if i see ferocity i would do the same to him. cheap shot is what he deserves because he is a pro boxer i am just internet gangsta bobby lee
lol, we cool bobby lee
You know it can be scary going up into that ring and if he is trash because he DIDN'T break the rules then i'd had to read what you call someone who actally sucker punchs a person while looking the other way. Where do you think the boxer going to shake hands was looking at, instead of the floor he should of been looking at his opponet.
And what Pedan did is what the fighter on the right did. Yet, you feel less compasion for Campbell cause he wasn't knocked out cold.
pedan took an opportunity while he was getting clowned, the dude on the right took an opportunity while he was being shown some respect that he didn't deserve, idk that's just my opinion

Great post man.
like i said its not illegal but its unsportmanlike imo, ya i know protect yourself at all times. i;ve seen other fighters pull the same shit at the beginning of the fight. theres an honorable way to win, and then theres this. this is a dangerous sport, i understand that and respect all fighters who come out and risk their lives but i cannot respect a fighter who pulls shit like this.
all fighters fight dirty low-blows, elbows heads, thats part of the game but this is just a little too dirty for me.
That guy done nothing illegal there.
He just certified his right to be a bonafide nasty cunt. It is fighting and you can be hurt and it's you or that guy.
Look at this vid posted here on NSB the other day
The real fighting men, the real horrible bastards forget all sense of propriety in the heat of battle and the aim of the game is to hurt your opponents.
I can't condone that kind of behaviour because I'm soft, but I can't berate it either because their mindset can be one of pure hate as a means of self preservation,
Exactly and to add on they just touched gloves a few seconds before. Why did they need to do it again?
Me personally I always hated to shake my opponents hand before a football or basketball game. I don't like them before the game after is something different. Sh!t during a football game after I made a tackle I wouldn't accept a helping hand from a opposing player to get up after the play was over.
Its not right but "PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES"

you've gotta point, doesn't make what that guy did right though.
Still, it's legal. If a guy is guarding Allen Iverson in a complacent manner and AI crosses him and drops a layup on him, it still counts.
If you get KO'ed over some stupid s---, shame on you and nobody else.
It's a cheap shot and I would never do business with anyone like that. Yes, it is fighting and you should protect yourself at all times but boxing is also a sport. All athletes need to show respect to each other and especially in the sport of boxing where people get hurt all the time. Hitting another guy when he is offering respect is in bad taste.
Boxing can be scary as **** when you go up into the ring and not knowing how you going to do and remembering how to punch and what punchs you want to throw out first. The last thing a fighter should think when that bell rings is "im going to shake hands....AGAIN."
ah well it shows no sportmanship but the other guy, if he wanted to touch glove, should have done it with more attention, putting out his arm full lenght and be very wary that the bell rang!!!! As someone other said, that was no sparring, and he came off like in a sparring match
Not the same thing AT ALL! Peden was getting clowned, and he gave Campbell what was coming. In this case one fighter was trying to show some sportsmanship, its the COMPLETE opposite.
That was a straight punk move right there, that fighter is trash, and by trash I mean as a human being.

You can tell the fighter that go ko'd was anxious he was jumping up and down paceing, then i guess he got a nervous and wanted to shake hands again.
While the fighter on the right comes out with his hands up to his face and you can tell hes concentrated and sees an opening and does what he is trained to do, hit when you see an opening.
Take note as the ref in gives the count because no foul occured.
Why? Cause the other guy wasn't ready even after the bell rang? If i hold my hand behind my back and you ko me, will you feel sorry for me and hate the other guy?
You must have hated what Pedan did to Campbell in there first fight. Shame on Pedan right?

How can any boxing fan talk shit about that? I've seen this happen many times before but the other fighter usally covers up quickly and moves away. I don't take nothing away from that win, that was a legit win.
hey hang on i know the guy wanted to touch gloves but you do that before the fight so why do it after ITS NOT SPARRING, the other guy came out wanting to fight like alot of fighters do in "bad blood" type fights nothing wrong with that he missed judged it thats all!
ps just went though afew of my fights and didnt find one fight where they touched up after the first bell
in gatti ward 1 gatti puts his glove out but ward just moves in so gatti just skips off
I just find it funny when these guys take the words "Protect yourself at all times" for granted.
To me it's unprofessional if you let your guard down like that and get KO'ed.
