Erik vs JMM prime for prime? Who you got?

Morales is a class A boxer and hits harder than JMM. JMM would have a hard time countering him. El Terrible UD

Morales always had the upper hand when fights come to brawls. He seemed to lure pure boxers to trade with him, giving him the edge straight away. JMM is too smart to trade and will be on the backfoot the wholefight. His counterpunching will find effective shots, although if Morales gives relentless pressure, Marquez could find trouble. I'd give the edge to JMM through a decision, although we've seen JMM hit the deck more often then he'd like. Morales presses forward more then Pacquiao, and we've seen what Pacman did to JMM, so a Morales TKO is a strong outcome also.

People forget just how bad of a dude Morales was in his prime. My first memory of him was him koing a guy, and hitting him 3 or 4 times as the guy fell. Its not a fight that I can say for sure he would win cause JMM is also an amazing fighter, but Im calling a Morales KO. I remember how dark a fighter the man was 4sure.. Watched him from the start.. But back then to now are two different fighters altogether

JMM could outbox him but if Morales was in warrior mode which i think he would be he'd catch up with JMM at some point and stop him..

Erik by SD. With his boxing level at his size, it wouldn't be easy for Marquez to counter him. Marquez would get in some good shots but so would Erik, and I think Erik edges him in the exchanges to win on points.

Past his prime Barrera gave Marquez a hard time and close fight, just by counterpunching Marquez (who leads alot for a counter puncher) and retaliating every time he got tagged. Morales wins a 8-4 type UD, maybe gets a stoppage on cuts or swelling.

There's no bad style matchup for a prime Morales. JMM has problems againts non-aggressive fighters. Among the 3 Great mexicans Morales is the most complete. prime for prime i'll bet on Morales. I used to hate him for kayoing Jamili but became a big fan after he dismantled JChavez and specially Famoso. His form againts famoso would UD JMM IMO. Of course there was, he had trouble when he tried to outbox better boxers like he tried to do against Espadas in their first fight, and Morales was an aggressive fighter, even when he was boxing or brawling, which would have played into JMM's favor.
