First of all he doesn't slap,He still hits hard but just play's it safe and doesn't hit as hard as he used to due to the brittle hands he breaks in practically every fight.
Sceondly yes he has fought most of his career in he UK but whats wrong with that? I mean it seems perfectly ok for americans to fight most of theyre careers on home soil so this is an obvious and clear example of double standards!
Last but not least he hasn't avoided great fighters,The fact is that were in the wrong weight divisions and they declined when an offer was made to them due to big ego's and money.
If he were American and black, he wouldn't be receiving all the undeserved hate.
There's no need for this to be a race issue.I do agree that if he was American he definately wouldn't be on receiving end of all the undeserved hate.In fact if he was American he would be held in a higher regard and have his ass kissed every second of the day!
regardless its an ugly style. ruiz has an ugly style and we hate it too. hopkins' hold-n-hit & potshot style was equally reviled. in other words, calzaghe isn't being singled out for his slaps.
its not a double standard because we in the US are just as critical of protected boxers from the US. the true double standard is that we don't try and make something of them that they aren't. Nobody is calling berto p4p #1 except his nuthuggers. everyone knows the best compete in the US. plain and simple.
if calz really wanted the fights he would've humbled himself and made the fights to secure for himself future greatness. Calzaghe was the odd man out because he was protected by Warren and unknown in the US.
what are you talking about. pbf, dlh, winky, hopkins, etc... are hated on constantly in these forums. they must not be american.
Good post ! I couldn't agree more ! Another point I would add why did Calslappy come here to fight a past his prime Hopkins and RJJ now ! I heard him say he wanted to show America Calslappy ! Why didn't he do this when they were in their prime ?

your not a hater ray! you a cool dude in my book bro!:beerchug:
LOL, Thank i was just laughing this morning when i saw tunney's post listing my name on his dumb thread.
What's the point of this thread?
To answer your ridiculous post, there no "point" , people (like me) simply don't like him. It has nothing to do with his skin tone or the fact that he has intercourse with sheep. It really doesnt, sir.
your a funny **** bro! rofl

I really dont understand it, Have been listed as hating joe C when i have never written a single word in critising him, He is one of my favourite fighters because of his boxing skills, I have picked him to beat every single opponent on this forum, All i have ever said was he isnt an ATG yet....and if that makes me a hater then so be it.

Why are people using race as an excuse for everything????????? Tunney need his head check and its sad that other people are actually following and listening to this prick..
One of the most hated boxer was Mayweather and he was black so what has joe C been white got to do with it??? When you're at the top people scrutinize you which brings all the hate towards you no matter what colour you are red/black/white/brown/green whatever colour you are

Im just tired of seeing the ignorance of so many so-called boxing fans!
Im a TRUE boxing fan who watches fighters from all over the world and gives them the props they deserve.Thats how it should be.
It's all in good fun I think. Honestly, I give him his props. In recent years he's been making his mark and proving himself to us Americans. If he beats Jones, even at this point in Roy's career, he's secured his spot with me.
