People are crazy. He lost to a legend. There's no shame in that. How can you gie him crap and say he's hype. Last week I saw a guy in Peter who quit after 8 rounds. Kelly took a 12 round beating like a man and was humble after the fight. He's tough as hell with major heart. And he moed up 10 pounds in weight. What more do you want? He lost he'll bounce back like Paul Williams.

All you American nut huggers on this forum as usual got over excited about your boy and to think you're always giving us Brits some stick about the way we over hype our fighters, shocking. Atleast Calslappy as you lot call him got a result against Hopkins, whether or not it was the right decision atleast calzaghe made it more of a fight against Hopkins than your pride of America Kelly Pavlik did. Hypocrites Now i'm gunna watch all you American bum boys on this forum say how Pavlik was overrated, bla, bla bla.

Pavlik's still a good fighter. He just has distinct weaknesses (as most fighters do), and a master like Hopkins was able to exploit them fully and make Pavlik look shitty. Pavlik still is the man @ 160 and may have a nice reign in the future. I'm glad Pavlik lost, because now apparently he will stay at 160. I didn't want to see Pavlik fight Calzaghe....I always would rather have seen Pavlik-Abraham.

Pavlik needs a new trainer. Loew wasn't giving Pavlik any kind of useful advise. All I heard was "double up the jab" in between almost every round. No encouragement. NOTHING! Loew SUCKS!

1. Nobody confused him with Jesus or with having the athetic abitity or skills of Roy Jones. 2. Nobody picked him to KO Hopkins because of what Pavlik can do, some did that because of what they thought Hopkins can't do ANYMORE. They were wrong and alot of us were as well. Still stands, not a hyped fighter and didn't get exposed in the sense that he still will be back and could go on to do great things at 160 and that the loss didn't come to a nobody BUT an all-time great. Listen to what you're saying guy. He struggled with Taylor.......yes but so did Hopkins and so did Winky Wright. At least he won both fights. Did anybody say that he has Roy Jones skills or confuse him with Floyd Mayweather on a P4P scale???? No he was hyped for what he is, a very good fighter who is still working on becoming great. That's the first thing that when through my head when he was knocked down by taylor the first time, Pavlik is very 1 dimensional but no shame in losing to Hopkins he is a great fighter.

Pavlik didn't become a bad fighter overnight. I've never heard the guy hype himself at all, he must be one the most down to earth and humble people in boxing. Why is there always a bandwagon to rubbish a good fighter after his first loss? He just got beat by the better man, end of.

I disagree, he has very good wins over Miranda and Taylor twice, he knocked them both out and beat Taylor by clear decision in their second fight, styles make fights, Hopkins had a terrible style for him which was what most people knew, as I said in another thread, it was just his age and his apparent stamina problems that made people pick Pavlik. People need to give him time, he's only 26 years old, a lot of people forget this because of what he's already accomplished, he can still be a very good fighter. And I'll say this again, what he does, he does very well, no he's not the most versatile fighter but he knows what he's doing in there and he's good at it. He'll just come back better after this loss.

Bullshit. Every time a white fighter or a Euro loses, they were hype. Kelly beat Miranda when everyone avoided him. He knocked him out. Kelly KOED Taylor when he was unbeaten. Then he outboxed him in a rematch. He isnt "the great white hope" he just fought a guy with the ability, skills and intelligence to school him badly.
