He did look good tonight, he could go 12 rounds. I can say he's better than his brother even at 37! But still it does not help the fact we had the WBC champion throwing wide hooks to his hips and around his neck. It says something about the division but also about Vitali's quality. I respect the guy it's just a shame 95% of his fans are neo-nazis who don't really give a **** about boxing.
I think you're way off base regarding Vitali's fans. I'm a fan of his (and his brothers, and about 30 other boxers, the majority of them either black or hispanic), and anybody that is a boxing fanp ought to be as well. Whether he has neo-nazi fans or not (few, if any, I'd think), he's good for the sport.
I think it's likely there are far more here who can't stand him just because he's white, and nothing else, than there are people who are fans for the same reason.
For my part, I like the big guy because he's ****ING HUGE, skilled, intelligent, exciting to watch fight (who wouldn't like to see someone who throws like him, I ask you?), and good for the sport overall. In 10 years, I think everybody will look back and feel that he added significantly to a division that needs exactly his sort. As far as I'm concerned, any time he fights from this point on is just gravy, and even if the PPV were to cost $50, I'd pay it.
Vitali hasnt fought in 4 years got injured trillions of times and is still dominating

Yes, I am a boxing fan. Are you? Or are you just another nut hugger like the majority of people on this site who have no real opinion, but will happily follow the crowd out of fear that someone might disagree.
Believe me, I am no fan of Samuel Peter, never have been and never likely to be so my opinion is not shaped by sour grapes. You say I nitpick too much, I think I just keep a balanced view.
I say those things against Vitali as it is my right to express my opinion and, in my opinion, he did nothing impressive against a man who has to be one of the worst HW champions ever. It's not that I like to complain, I just don't jump on bandwagons.
Trust me this people would label you, call you names if you're not prepared to hang off the klitschko's nut, i thought the roy jones fans were bad but this lot takes the biscuit.
He's been away for 3-4 years and he dominates a top heavyweight. Just shows how poor these heavyweights are.
I have to agree with this. Not so much that these heavyweights are THAT poor because Wlad and Vitali are a cut above, but it really makes you appreciate Lennox Lewis doesn't it?
What do you think Tyson or Lewis would have done with Sam Peter tonight?
If Lewis were to fight him it wouldn't have looked much different from the Vitali fight, Tyson would have KO'd him early.
its pathetic because the Champ(peter)
but on a terrible performance against someone who hasnt fought in 4 years
overall i think the fight was dull
Even though i havent seen the fight i quite agree with all your points, Some people would try to put you to the sword because of Vitali and wlad but f**k them.
I'm not sure what more you want. He totally dominated his opponent, a known dangerous puncher with a single loss, that many people expected to KO a Vitali who'd been off for nearly 4 years, and is 37 years old. Not only that, but he was throwing and landing punches nearly non-stop, outboxing his opponent, proving his superiority with every second he spent in the ring to the point where he never lost even a minute of a round, much less an entire round.
Do you mean that it was just too one-sided? If so, that's understandable, but I still don't know what more you expected from Vitali. Or maybe you didn't feel he was deserving of a title shot? Considering the beating he gave the title holder, I'd say he was deserving.
What I'm saying, I suppose, is that your statement makes no sense unless you give some reasoning along with it.

sorry im not blinded by nationality and can see when a fight is not any good

His timing of the right hand was off, his footwork was non existent and he couldn't finish off a man who was clearly a long way out of his depth. Maybe it's just me, but that really doesn't indicate a great performance. Yes, his lay off will have contributed to his timing being a bit out but it's not like Peter was elusive. Stevie Wonder could have found his chin all night long
Man, you nitpick too much.. You sound like a guy who was rooting for Sam Peter but now in sour grape mode..
You say all those things against Vit but then why can't Peter do anything about it in the fight?
I just don't get some boxing fans. It's like some of these guys will just always complain even if we saw an unexpectedly good win from a 4-year removed boxer.
Are you even a boxing fan?
Lol, he looked like shit? What do you want him to do, fly? He put a boxing clinic, then made Peter quit, what would you call a great performance if that's a shit one?
What do you think Tyson or Lewis would have done with Sam Peter tonight?

Are you for real? This is a discussion forum. It's for sharing opinions. Jesus Christ.
And the thread starter is RIGHT. Or haven't you ever watched an interesting, exciting heavyweight fight before?
Current heavies suck. End of story.

A boxing clinic? Against a stationary target! Anyone can look good punching a heavy bag, which is pretty much all this fight amounted to. I'm not saying Vitali isn't a good fighter but, to claim he looked great in such a boring fight and against mediocre opposition is just ridiculous.Again, you said he looked like shit, what did Vitali do so wrong? He fought a perfect fight, dominate, then make opponent quit.
He looked like shit. You can't say he looked great when all he did was occasionally punch a fat man impersonating the HW champ of the world. I don't care if he had taken 10 years off, that fight was the absolute drizzling shits and only reaffirmed why I rarely watch HW fights.

I suppose.. But I really wonder why you feel the need to share what you dislike, especially when people will be celebrating or having REAL talks about boxing because a big fight just went down...
All I see is a bunch of sour grapes from someone who thinks the heavyweight division has ever really looked any different.. they have always been slow and lacking skill in comparison to Welterweights..
You sound like you read somewhere that heavyweight is boring and you bandwagon jumped...
Just saying is all..
That is true. The thing that's missing in the Heavyweight devision is that handful of fighters who have that special mystique. It's hard to explain, but the Klitschko brothers and the European champions and terrible American HWs don't have it at the moment.
Most people expected vitali to win but Sam Peter was less competitive then danny williams... Alot less...
LOL I guess you didn't read any of the PRE fight coverage..????
