Why is a man with a win over James Toney and Oleg Maskeav so underrated on here?

Why is Sam Peter so underrated on here? No this isn't a one of those "BECAUSE HE'S BLACK!!111" threads, it is an actual question. Sam Peter has 2 wins, one very legit and one not so much, over James Toney and Oleg Maskeav the WBC champ. "Well warp, Toney was old and Maskeav was old and inactive Really? No shit Dr. Holmes, but look who he is fighting next: http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/39192000/jpg/_39192620_ap_klitschko_300.jpg Mr. king of inactivity himself, Vitali Klitchsko! It'd be one thing if "yeah ok, Peter is unproven and Klitchsko has been off a year", but Klitchsko has been off for 4 years!! 4!! That's ****ing crazy how Vitali is not only the -160 favorite, but he's also the 80% favorite on here to win! What the hell has Vitali shown that he should be the betting favorite? Hmm pulling out a fight with Hasim Rahman 4 times? Him fighting Jameel Mcline? Oh wait no he didn't he pulled out on that fight like a bitch too. Speaking of Mcline, that's probably the reason Peter is so underrated on here because Peter barely won. That's still no excuse for why a man who is 4 years inactive and wasn't that impressive to begin with should be the betting favorite. Come this saturday, if they even fight because Vitali will probably bitch out in the next 3 days, Sam Peter will crush Vitali Klitchsko. The only chance Vitali has (minus the judging and the ref) is if Sam comes into awful shape. We all know how good Vitali is when it comes to facing out of shape fighters....oh wait my bad. He lost that fight against Lennox too. I musta forgot!

Everybody has their faults, you know? But to give praise to that article, was a fu.cking insult to anybody with half a brain as to what it was really about. The thing was hot garbage. Only to the people misinterpreting the point of the article. It was not to say that Mosley didn't deserve a big fight, or to say the Cotto fight was so clear. The point was to say Mosley's constant whining is seriously pathetic. What's even more pathetic is that he's saying that these other guys only fight for the money....what was he sitting out 9 months for? A money fight, but it's ok for him to do it, but when other people go for the money they're "prima donnas". No one in their right mind would say he didn't deserve a pay day, or that he isn't a great, HOF fighter, but the point of the article was to say that he had no ground to stand on when calling other people prima donna's for wanting money fights. Mosley has turned into an insane hypocrite. It can't really be argued.

I don't hate Peter. But I thinks his best chance to win is to take VK out cold, early. The more the rounds pile on, I think Vitali will get stronger. I never knew you hated Vitali so much.... lol I made that thread the other day just to stir up some shit. I actually did make this thread though because I thought peter was going to win. Still justified for my thinking though. Sorry if I wasn't on the bandwagon of him coming back out of retirement (which seemed unlikely the fight would even happen) and be the second coming of jesus. Peter looked pretty good against Toney and Maskaev. Yeah they're old, but I didn't really have any recent performances to base Vitali off of and it wasn't logical of making him a huge favorite when he was 4 years into retirement. Dude is the second best heavyweight in the world, no doubting that. I do think Wlad is better, but it's pretty close.

Peter seems to be in a pattern, look good against Julius Long, look bad in his first fight with Toney, look good in his second fight with Toney, look bad in his fight with McCline, look good in his fight against Maskaev, look bad against Klitschko. Erratic.

I thought Peter got a gift decision against Toney the first go round and won the 2nd. I dont think he's underrated I think the criticism he gets is due because this is Boxing and he's not that good at it, he's good at fighting and using his strength.

Peter doesn't impress me at all, he just doesn't have coordination, is very open when he throws punches, and someone with a good jab, (like Wlad for ex) would easily beat him. I also think guys like Chagaev or Iggy would beat Peter pretty easily, he would eat way too many of their counters. We'll see this saturday if he's improved or if he's capable of changing his game plan though, cause with the way he fights now, I seriously doubt he'll beat VK.

Peter is a crude fighter he tends to club with his punches lacks speed and snap and needs to get his weight down by 15-20lb, he may well beat Vitali as he could well be shot at this point.
