Edwin Valero vs Juan Manuel lopez

what happen if they both fought at a featherweight/super featherweight because i think juanma is good enough he could easily move up fight at 126/130 limit and i think valero could move back down to 126/130 limit easliy but that's just me Valero is at 130, soon to be 135 Juanma is at 122. even from 122 to 130 thats still a bigger difference than Hatton moving up to fight margarito and being smaller guys 8lbs is much bigger in proportion to juanma than it would be to Hatton.

Valero's at 130 gettin ready to jump to 135. Juanma would be KO'd.

valero is too big. This would be similar to Pac vs. dela Hoya, the only difference is that Valero isn't as shot as dela Hoya and Juanma is nowhere near the caliber of Pacman yet. :D

you make some good points, but that's why you will have to wait and see what Vazquez will end up doing =) But you are right Vazquez is interested in big money fights right now. I think we would agree he has earned it. Although Lopez and Concepcion are excellent fighters with tons of potential. You have to look at the reality of things. Lopez has is just getting his career started and Concepcion has not capture a title yet. IMO i think it's best we let those guys build up their resumes and take it from there. So, when it's time.... it would be a really good pay day for each fighter. Whether its Vazquez-Lopez or Vazquez-Concepcion As far as Marquez, I doubt Vazquez will fight him next. I know Vazquez' now only aiming at big money fights, but at superbantam, I think aside from Rafa Marquez there isn't anybody that would give Vazquez his much needed dough. Juanma and Concepcion both have a fanbase. Mexico vs. Puerto Rico and Mexico vs. Phil rivalries have been proven attractions. So I guess you either fight Rafa for the nth time, find a name fighter to go up to superbantam (like a shot Arce) or chose you poison Concepcion or Vazquez. I don't think that's ridiculous. Lopez has impressed me more, but head-to-head, it's hard not to pick the 130 lb. fighter over the 122 lb. fighter.

Valero hits way way harder than anybody Juanma has faced, including Ponce de Leon. We don't know if Juanma can take a punch, I haven't seen anybody with power land flush on him. Valero also has better fundamentals than Ponce de Leon, so I doubt if Juanma can khan him, Valero's smarter than that. Valero by KO...

Valero is way to big, Valero stops the man. Valero is moving to lightweight, Lopez is just starting at Super Bantam
