From ****news.com:
WBC heavyweight champion Samuel Peter and WBC champion emeritus Vitali Klitschko got into it a little bit while posing in front of the cameras after today's press-conference at Berlin's Saturn Mall. Peter took exception to Vitali trying to hold the belt and pulled the belt belt away. Peter's trainer said that his fighter will not posing in front of the cameras again. Their world title collision can be seen in the U.S. on Saturday night's huge SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast at 9PM ET/PT.

....This has probably already been talked about but I just realized that the fight is tape delayed on Showtime. I sure as hell won't be venturing in here on Saturday. Anyone know what time the fight actually starts in relation to EST? I'm tempted to do the whole stream thing but I also want to see it for the first time on Showtime in HD instead of a shitty stream feed.
I don't....I really don't. It's even worse when they ****ing ignore everything you try to explain to them, preferring to remain ignorant. That really, really annoys me.
That's why I rarely argue with noobs, it's useless most of the time.
I love it when fools talk about things that they have no clue about.

 at Slater.
Slater was a bitch.
All-state wrestler and couldn't even get the better of it with Zack Morris.
He also lost out on Kelly b/c of Zack and had to settle for that feminist.
zack morris is still dazed from when slater knocked him out..lol anyway i think vitali ko's peter for that move
Zack Morris was never that good anyway.:boxing:
The closer this gets, the more I think VK is gunna fuck Peter up...
Co-sign. The fact that he's made it almost to fight night uninjured shows me that Vitali is actually gonna take care of business and KO Peter.
As so many Klit-Lickers have said, Peter sucks. Brittley isn't that bad, he is just grotesquely overrated by his fanboys who think more of what a guy "could have, should have, and would have" done rather than what he really has done.
50,000 is okay. I want to make sure I have points for those stupid little things I can purchase, just in case Brittley continues in his tradition of beating overweight fighters (that aren't homosexuals named Lennox)
If Tunney doesn't take it, I'll be happy to bet you whatever the amount you want.
Vitali really ****ed himself with his little charades. Peter is going to send Vitali and his glass chin back into retirement after the beating he's going to administer on him come Saturday.
Promise me you won't just disappear after the fight and never come back. I'm looking forward to your reaction after it's over.

I agree he's vastly overrated by some here on this forum (I could probably name you a baker's dozen Vitali cum-guzzlers without even trying), but I have to give the guy his due, also. He performs well in the ring, usually in dramatic fashion...he's huge, heavy handed, reasonably skilled, tough, great beard, fast for his size, always in shape, and is aggressive as hell. In any era, he'd give the best heavyweights all they could handle, maybe more. Not saying he'd beat everyone, just that he has enough assets that he'd be tough for anyone to beat. I don't agree that he's injury prone, more a victim of a short run of bad luck, but even if I'm wrong....well, the sun shines on even a dog's ass once in awhile.
A couple of reason, I'm a fan. What I listed above (which boils down to just being an entertaining fighter, for me), his sense of sportsmanship, plus the fact that he's a pretty decent guy outside the ring, too. I'm old-fashioned enough that I prefer my favorite fighters to be a good example of a decent man for everybody that watches him fight.
So lets bet 100,000 points on this fight, Thread Stealer. If Vitali's as bad as you always say, shouldn't Peter be able to beat him?
After all, Vitali's age 37 and has been inactive for almost four years.

Stumbling drunks? It was two big aggressive guys going at it nearly non-stop for the entire fight. The only other heavyweight fight that compares, action-wise in recent times was Brewster/Lyachovich.
Anyway, what I was going to ask....can you give me a list of that top 15 you have? I find it difficult to believe you wouldn't have Lewis/Klitchko on it.
Brewster-Liakhovich was better. Brewster-Liakhovich competes with Jefferson-Harris as the best HW fight since Golota-Bowe 2. That shit was just back-and-forth action throughout most of the fight. Brewster getting hurt in one round, then Liakhovich getting hurt and dropped in the next round, and then Brewster almost ready to go a round or 2 later. Amazing fight.
Best HW fights since 1978?
Larry Holmes-Ken Norton
Tex Cobb-Earnie Shavers (another good wild fight between two big guys who look like stumbling drunks)
Larry Holmes-Mike Weaver
Evander Holyfield-Michael Dokes
Riddick Bowe-Evander Holyfield 1-3
Maurice Harris-Derrick Jefferson
Clifford Etienne-Lawrence Clay Bey
Sergie Liakhovich-Lamon Brewster
Andrew Golota-Riddick Bowe 2
David Tua-Daniel Izon
Bert Cooper-Ray Mercer
David Tua-Ike Ibeabuchi
Mike Tyson-Razor Ruddock 2
Michael Moorer-Bert Cooper
Riddick Bowe-Pierre Coetzer
As I said, it'd be lucky to be in the top 15 of the last 3 decades. Maybe in the lower end.
It helps that Lewis-Klitschko had greater significance as it was for THE heavyweight championship of the world, but others were better to watch.
He probably has to some degree, I think the events of the McCline fight and the fight with younger brother Wladimir still haunt him.
I agree Stickman, he just seems a bit insecure right now.
I think he's very immature, and probably not the brightest bulb in the string, but he diesn't strike me as actually "off". Nothing like his countryman Ibeabuchi.
Ali/Frazier, Ali/Foreman, don't count....we're talking last 30 years.
As for the others....
Bowe/Holyfield and Holyfield/Moorer are of the same quality...great action, evenly matched.
Tua/Ike..yeah, great fight, great action, and I have to admit that it's right up there too, but I tend to try and forget Ike. He was a nutcase.
And the Tyson/Douglas fight wasn't, at least in my opinion, anything special. Tyson basically gave up after he realized he wasn't going to be able to blow Douglas out like he did nearly everyone else, and he looked beaten for a few rounds before it was actually over, though he did rally a little a couple of times.
Holyfield/Tyson just further proved how mentally unstable Tyson was, and again...I didn't think either were exactly spectacular.
The reason I liked the Klitschko/Lewis fight so much is because it was a total surprise. Everyone expected a fairly easy win by Lewis (me included), and he ended up having all he could handle. Additionally, it brought the tiger back out in Lewis, as well as bringing Vitali into the light for US boxing fans.
I have plenty of points to cover the bet! If Peter wins, I will pay 100 K within minutes.
Not much chance of you having to pay it, but hell...I'll chip in 25% of your payout if that happens. I'll also be obligated to eat a pair of my own undershorts (said that on another thread) if Klitschko loses.
Lewis-Brittley resembled two stumbling drunks.
Fun fight, but would be lucky to make top 15 heavyweight fights of the last 30 years.
