Hopkins was and is great and he beat Tito in his prime, but still I can say for sure Tito was just not ready for that fight, he wasn't even in the shape he always was in that fight.. had he trained like he should and that shit with his wife didn't happen Tito would've creamed B-Hop... All day Tito for me!
i like this guy.
he's honest. :)

My favorite Bernard prime fight other then Tito would be the Echols fights. Anyone else remember the punch stats for round 5 in the first fight? 27 landed out of 28 thrown for Bernard hahaha. Bernard seemed like he threw more thne 30 punches, but he sure did land a lot.
Also Bernard's prime started when he battered Johnson and turned into the boxer-puncher style. Before he was a really rough brawler that wasn't as fun to watch imo.
**** the cubs :(. Eh...the bears. Not really exciting and that game was boring as shit. It was football's version of Cotto-Gomez.
That fight was exciting to Gatti fans like me :lol1:
what am i gonna do with you? we always disagree little buddy......
anyways...... the BEARS kicked ASS!!!!! the cubs didn't......

i did too. he was a bit more active and more entertaining but he wasn't this unbeatable , exciting superstar people talk about.
that's one of the favorite myths in this forum.
everyone tells me , "you should've seen bernard in his prime. the old bernard was unstoppable and exciting."
He wasn't unstoppable, but he was pretty exciting IMO. Sure, he had some bad fights even in his prime. But he had a lot of good ones, my favourites are the Echols and Mercardo fights. :luvbed:
Bernard Hopkins anyday.

they act like i didn't see bernard in his prime. i did. he was good. he won.
BUT he wasn't this unstoppable , exciting force. it's because people criticize bernard's boring style so they say , "he's old now in his prime he was exciting." somewhat true but not really.
I'm a fan of both guys but this is a no brainer. Even in younger more aggressive days B-Hop didn't have the same fury Tito showed in his prime fights. More KO's for Tito too.
Oh shit!!!! Addy????
Nah, seriously. Once, I went into some chatroom as the user ID "Cutiegirl4" or something like that, and got bombarded with asl messages, I told some guy i was 14/f/USA and he replied "COOL! What state?? You got a webcam??" and shit like that, I fucking LOLd
****ing Perverts man...
someone made a thread about that in the lounge.
then why do you shit on joe's record? lmao
160 was shit during hopkins reign.
his biggest wins were against little guys who were much better than he(oscar , tito , winky) at weights way above their best weight class.
his best win against a guy his size was tarver and tarver is good nothing more.
The thing about Hopkins and Calzaghe that makes them great, to me, is their longevity. Both of them reigning as champions for a decade, with 20 + title defense, that says something. To be dedicated enough to not slip up for such a long time, and with Calzaghes hands as well, says something about them. Both of them only got the big fights later in their careers as well, and both shined, and moved up to get a LHW title on top of it.
The two are very similar, career wise.
