State Athletic Commission rules stated that in the event of a knockdown, the opponent must go to the farthest neutral corner before the referee begins his count. If the fighter is fit to continue, then proper room must be given to both fighters before the fight continues.
David Mendoza didnt follow the proper actions of a ref last night. Mosley was right on top of him as soon as the ref backed away. That was pretty much a free left hook. I havent seen some bullshit like that since the 1920s.
David Mendoza shouldnt be allowed to ref anymore fights.
Yes, he should have gone to a neutral corner. But lets be honest man, that was a ****ING sweet hook! I am devestated by the loss, but I know Ricardo will be back in the W column in a few months. We'll just have to wait bro.
That wasn't a cheap shot.
I don't think there's any difference in time advantage from any other KD's we've seen when Mosley went after Mayorga right after the ref waived for him to proceed. Other fighters normally would've been approaching their opponent by then. But I have to agree that Mosley wasn't coming from the neutral corner and the ref did nothing to make him go there.
Mosley wasnt even looking at his target. Only in a cheap shot would this happen.

Cheap shot? Are you serious?
Mosley should retire after last nights performance, that was an embarrassing performance by him. He went for that ko because he knew he looked absolutely horrible against an opponent he shouldn't have looked bad against.
I kno ur gonna catch flack but I agree Mosley didnt want to go to the cornor cuz he was desperate for a ko to get bigger fights so when he got the KD he wanted to be nice and close to get the ko quickly, he won the fight but stll he was like an inch away from mayorga
