Since he aint gonna retire, whats next for Mayorga?

I think he could win a title at 154 but personally if i was him i would retire.

Mayorga would have been an all time great back in the Lamotta/Robinson era.

As sloppy as he looks Mayorga proved he can remain competitive even when he's clearly overmatched. I personally think Mayorga should clean out JR Middleweight. The division is dead, him and Forrest are the biggest stars and he deserves to add another championship and test guys like Phillips and Santos. He SHOULDNT fight above his weight nor below, that includes a Tito rematch at 170 which would be completely pointless, any fight at 147 or above 154. To be hated on so much the man has fought nothin but top tier competition so he should beat down some 154 contenders and become 154 champ hell maybe even unify the division Forrest-Mayorga III. Showtime will buy it, the WBC will sanction it, and Forrest has to feel confident he can win the third match. And it's probably the most money Mayo can get right now, so why wouldn't he take it? And he's maybe the top profile guy that Vernon can schedule at 154 unless a welterweight comes up in weight... Or a Spinks rematch could be even more money for Ricardo, especially if it landed in St. Louis...

After all that draining I doubt Mora is coming back to 154

if Zab Judah's fought before on Friday Night Fights, why not Mayorga? or they could throw Mayorga at Sergio Mora .. with the winner taking on Forrest. **made that up all on my own, lol. Mora got whooped on by Forrest and doesn't really deserve rematch (what did Sergio say at the post fight press conference?) and well Mayorga's history with Forrest is well documented. so why not have Mayorga vs Mora? (once Mayo gets that 30th w of course.)

They could do it at Super Welter or Middleweight. It would work out good for the both of them. The lower the weight the better for Carlos. He is at his best at Welter. To be honest, I think Mayorga is better off there aswell.

Same here, Carlos did say he regained his focus and is back to his 06 mindstate so if he's for real i'd love to see another run I agree with this. But about Baldomir, that would be a good fight. Loser retires. At this stage of the game, I think Ricardo beats Carlos. They could do it at Super Welter or Middleweight. It would work out good for the both of them.

People are jumping all over the idea, Mosley is old and past his prime. Mayorga is old and past his prime too, and has took some real beatings. The fight if you think about it, was on even terms. The fans would cry about it but I want to see it. Both guys are past it, but even a past it Matador and a past it Mosley are still better than most at 154. I just hope Mayorga dosn't make us wait another 10 months before his next fight! I'd like to see him get that 30th win in Nov or Dec of this year.
