If Margarito stopped Mayweather what would be your opinions of both fighters?

If this somehow happened, Marg would be the man and a lotta people would be eatin crow like when he whomped Cotto. Problem is he'd get denied some of his shine since PBF would be comin back from a layoff and no doubt people would jump all over that. Even if he got KO'd in 1 PBF would gain my full respect tho cuz he woulda finally manned up and took the fight. But PBF will never fight Marg. It's clear by now. This fight won't ever happen.

This is just an "Ifs" well if ever this would be good for boxing I think.

You forgot the patented "Roy Jones was past his prime" excuse. However, if that happened, my opinions would be surprised that Floyd took the fight. The outcome, expected. My man, I can't stand Floyd as much as the next guy. But Margarito winning would hardly be expected by most. I still give Cotto a better chance against Matweather than I would Tony, but as much as I dislike him I would still favor him.
