And that includes when someone gets "exposed"... like Cotto losing because his chin gave out... That was kind of seen as the downfall of Cotto and it ended up being as such.
Pretty much, I'm asking for "the perfect win". The only one I can think of right now is...
Manny Pacquiao-Marco Antonio Barrera I
By the way, super close decisions that could have easily gone the other way don't count either... so Morales-Barrera I = no dice.
Let's see what you all can come up with!
Roy Jones Jr. Vs. James Toney
That was just completely outclassed.
To the person who said Hatton - Mayweather, a Hatton fanboy could say Cortez didn't let him fight his style of fighting, i.e. hugging.
you know too much about boxing, hahahha.
And is that part for real?! thats insane.
Benitez dating Ray's sister apparently is true. I've read that a lot of times.
I was joking about the exact details of Benitez's poor training habits.
I think you guys to rewatch the fight Toney clearly won the last 3 rounds. And was winning the 11th round aswell i had Nunn only ahead by 2 rounds at that point, and it looked like Toney was on his way to winning 11th round, so Toney could have still earned a draw had it gone to the cards.
True, Toney was coming on. It wasn't a punch from a desperate Toney who was getting his ass kicked round after round. Toney had been landing good blows for the past 3 rounds.
oh and surprised this never came up yet for DLH-Mosley 1
it came up on Beyond The Glory, but before the 1st fight with Shane Mosley Oscar De La Hoya was focused on making his Grammy winning CD and that took off from his in ring training/preparation.
Lennex Lewis v. Michael Grant. - Green, overhyped.
Wladamier Klitchko v. Chris Byrd. - Too small.
Marco Antonio Barrera v. Nassem Hamed. - Underprepared, unfocused.
The rest weren't particularly great wins but I can't think of excuses for them.
How about Kelly Pavlik v Jermain Taylor 1?
in an article on THIS site, Taylor said word for word, that during the flurry that knocked down Pavlik, he gassed himself out
Barrera v. Pacquiao 1 and Mosley v. Delahoya are both fights that have genuine excuses -more so the Barrera v. Pacquiao fight.
One fight is Lennex Lewis v. Michael Grant.
Wladamier Klitchko v. Chris Byrd.
Juan Diaz v. Julio Diaz.
Angel Manfredy v. Stevie Johnson.
Miguel Angel Gonzalez v. Koysta Tszyu.
Koysta Tszyu v. Rafael Ruelas.
Freddie Pendalton v. Rafael Ruelas.
Marco Antonio Barrera v. Nassem Hamed.
Eric Morales v. Wayne McCullugh.
really theres a lot more.
I've heard from many people that the scoring for Toney-Nunn was beyond terrible and Toney should have been ahead, so... even at that point, a lucky shot wouldn't have mattered, right?
You heard wrong. Nunn was winning comfotably it wasn't close.
I thought Nunn was ahead pretty comfortably up until the knockout.
Me too.
Nunn fanboy: And Toney didn't give Nunn a rematch. What a douche. Toney was boxingwise out of his league, but got lucky.
How about Kelly Pavlik v Jermain Taylor 1?
Taylor-fanboy: Pavlik should have been stopped. Disgraceful refereeing. And Taylor was victim of a blatant highwayrobbery in the rematch btw.
Hopkins-Tito - Tito too small, past his prime, out of his weight class.
Cotto-Margarito - Breathing problems.
Kessler-Calzaghe - Hurt right hand.
Tyson-Douglas - Unprepared, had distractions outside of the ring.

BatTheMan said the excuse for Toney-Nunn was a lucky shot, I'm not sure if that's an excuse though, I couldn't think of one myself.
Toney-Barkley - Barkley past his prime.
Jirov was off for over a year prior to that one.
