Anyone else think Hatton stops Malinaggi?

This is more likely to be a lot of cuddling than a Paulie Knockout. The only chance Paulie has of getting stopped is Paulie breaking his hand in like the first round. In which case he may still be able to not get stopped.

I honestly believe Hatton can lose anytime at this point now.. His there for the taking a little if the other guy can work at it.. If Paulie could bang i would raise that dudes chances of beating Hatton Has it stands i cant see him hurting Hatton enough to stop or slow Hatton's workrate.And i think even if Paulie is getting a whoopin in there i still think He would tough it out and last the course.... if paulie can get pummeled by cotto and not go down, i doubt hatton can do it. but hatton should win.

I don't think Hatton's stopping anyone ever again. LOL He's looked terrible in his last couple bouts. He's just not the same fighter he was 5 years ago and I think all the Hatton fans are going to have to accept that. Really, beyond Castillo, he hasn't looked good since Kostya. Paulie could definitely win this one.

Only guy I can think of is Ben Tackie, He was outstanding against Tackie. Knowing he was a tough, hard puncher Hatton boxed well all night. If he fought more like that now he would be a lot better imo. sorry...i had a brain fart!!! it was tackie. i used to think tackie was gatti when i was less knowlagble!! i know i sound like a complete tard...but it makes sense to me lmao... i guess tackie and gatti kind of rhyme if you hear there names quickly??? i guess that is why i though his name began with "g" ill shut up now cos i sound like a idiot...lol

Hatton has a bit more power than Malignaggi, but certainly not knockout power. The biggest thing though, his punches are WIDE AND INACCURATE. Malignaggi knows how to fight with one hand, and I think at this point he would use his right regardless of it being broken, he knows his career's days are numbered, he's had over 10 operations and 4 breaks on his hand. Malignaggi by decision, expect Malignaggi to perform similar to the Lovemore N'dou fight. He shines in the spotlight.

Me too, He used to be great to watch, now not so much. He just isn't as good anymore, his stamina dropped off his style is more 1D than it used to be etc, I think Hatton is a little past his best, but maybe Mayweather will bring him back to what he lost. I hope so.. i cannot remember wat the fighter name was...but he fought this african guy his name began with a "g" hatton was outstanding in that fight!!! his speed and accuracy was the best i have ever seen it! i remember a hatton combination... he started with a left jab,then he ducked a looping left hook,slid inwards and crashed a left hook to this guys ribs,then he hit him with a right hook,put his head down into this guys chest...the african guy also put his head down(big mistake)then hatton exploded with a right uppercut that must of knocked the guy back 6 feet!! i will always remember that combo...beautiful!!!

His stamina isn't as good, and he seems to have stopped using the boxing ability he does posses, for some reason. He changed his style for the Tszyu fight, and kept it that way. For Tszyu, it was the perfect strategy, but he should have gone back to how he fought before that, after imo. I agree, Paulie is pretty quick but all he really has is a jab. He isn't as elusive as some think he is (Including himself), he is tough but his chin isn't as good as people say. I hate the "Cotto couldn't stop him so ...... can't" argument as well. Ndouju (SP?) nearly TKOd him and he isn't as hard puncher as Cotto, Miguel was drained for that fight, and wasn't anywhere near his best imo. I appreciate his heart, and his ability to cope with these guys at the very top of ten stone boxing whilst literally being a complete non-puncher. It's impressive. I'll probably root for him against Hatton, but he'll get smashed up pretty bad, I can't see it going any other way. Ndou hit him so much in Manchester the commentators tried saying well Ndou has slow feet but quick hands, but he doesn't, he has slow hands as well. Malignaggi is at the peak of his powers.

i agree with everything in this post...hatton seems to have lost some varity in recent years...he uses this weird smothering style now and it can be a bit boring to watch! i want to see more upstairs downstairs action from hatton ALOT more often! i hope mayweather snr can switch it up a wee bit! I think he fought the way he did against Tszyu smothering him completely not even taking a half step back because otherwise Hatton would have got knocked out, and it worked wonderfully. But then he just kept doing it........against everyone. We'll see though because it was his way of avoiding big shots all the guys he fought recently could bang hard enough to hurt him. I must be on my own in thinking that at times Hatton against Lazcano looked pretty good, he just divebombed like a fool into a monster left hook against a guy who can bang. Paulie can't bang, he can't stop Ricky from working, he can't keep turning Hatton, Hatton got inside on Mayweather with relative ease and got torn up in there unfortunately for him. If he gets inside on Malignaggi with good success he smashedsPaulie to pieces. I'd bet real money in this fight. I'm with Moochi this is a mismatch. Hatton is a top level 140lb fighter.... who the fk has Paulie beaten? i can't believe that the guy even gets a mention.......Kendall Holt deserves more of a mention. Ndou the first fight was an impressive performance, but Ndou is the slowest moving 10 stone man I have ever seen apart from Urango.

:), Just pointing out that Ricky isn't a massive 1 punch KO kinda guy. He wears fighters down to the body, although I think he would have stopped more of his last 7 oppennets if he hadn't smothered his work as much, a flaw he should work on :thinking: It's odd in a way, Hatton seems to have gone backwards recently, he was a much better fighter before the Tszyu fight imo. He didn't smother his work as much, landed clean hurtful shots to the body and broke them down to the body. His stamina back then was great too, the Thaxton fight was fuckin' unbelievable! But his stamina seems to fade more now, I think the blowing up between fights has started to have an effect on him now. A few years back I think he would have stopped Paulie, now I think he outworks him to a UD. His stamina is half of what it was, he was Calzaghesque before. There is only so much Guiness and chinese food a little man like that can get through if he is trying to be a world class athlete. Ricky is a bit of an idiot to be fair, but I guess it's his money and that's how he wants to spend it. If Ricky loses to Paulie Malignaggi then he is shot beyond believe.
