Well heya, decided to search and see if there were any other guys at Contenders on here. Sarje here, I was half-serious before I had to go for a while 6 months ago and now I'm back and going to be pushing it up a knotch. 174lbs, 7% body fat, 6' 3" and at this very moment going for a veryvery late night run.. I train 2-4 hours a day and planning to be at the next Fight Night as well as starting out as an Ameteur. I'll be coming to every sparring sessio as soon as I get some papers signed for my Boxing BC membership and will be there every day we have class on top of what I do on my own.
A week and a half ago I sprained both of my fists and did something weird to a few of my knuckles and couldn't shadow box until 2 days ago (one knuckle on the left hand kept searing up and reswelling..). Been running and working on everything I could despite that though (had to get somebody to set the dumbells for me in the gym for a while though =.=; ) . Getting my hands on those mexican wraps and I should be good to go tomorrow and spending my time on the mitts and bag again (felt pretty normal today). Be sparring as soon as I get my doctor to sign the forms in 2 weeks, so for now unrusting my technique and going to the intermediate classes. Health is greeeaat albiet sleep deprivation kicks in once in a while =.= getting that fixed.
So, any other Vancouverites?
Sure thing man. What weight are you fighting at?
We have a guy in our gym with the surname Jackson, and we call him action, so fancy that.
I saw that Jackson have an exhibition bout at the Library, Blue Collar Boxing style.
I am fighting way down in the 120 range. I am only 5'6.
I know Kevin, good guy. I hope he won. I train out of the Astoria Boxing Club on 70th and granville. I also had two fights, an exhibition and a just got a win this past week.
When you see him next tell him Lev Jackson from fightnews needs an interview.

Good stuff man.
I don't have any amatuer fights...I was just training, sparring and was about to start an amatuer career, but then the accident happened and that fucked everything up....I'm a 6'2 southpaw cruiserweight
I saw Kevin Reynolds fight at the River Rock casino...He's a good fighter....Hopefully he won tonight
Awesome to hear, hopefully things go well for you. You must give guys in your gyms head aches. Kevin makes me spar with him on occasion, and he is a 6'1 southpaw cruiser as well, so I know the pain of having that in front of you.
I really hope he won.
141 lbs, Light Welter. 2 fights. Lost my debut in a fight in Surrey actually to an Italian guy named Robert Fumo. Then easily out pointed a Pinoy named Alejandro Salazon a few months later. I had an exhibition with the guy who beat me, and I performed alot better and felt that if it were scored I would have won. For me that was vindication enough. I train still at least 3 if not 5 days a week, but I haven't fought in a long time. You have any fights?

I used to train and spar at the Port Kells boxing club....I got in a bad car accident 2 years ago, broke my leg and it's taken a long time to recover...I'm back at 100% now....I'm gonna probably get back into the boxing gym again later this year.
Shitty to hear man, but good to hear its healed.
Oh awesome man. Do you train or fight out of anywhere? I have been to a few Surrey gyms (well, just 1.)
