fight Saturday, Victor Ortiz still has no opponent

I saw him on Telefutura over the summer. He looked good combonation wise, but he needs to work on his defense a bit more. I'd still like to see him fight Penelosa.

Get some valuable exposure on PPV by destorying that filipino prospect Gabi was pretty good. Then he's also been fighting on telefutura to get exposure to mexican fight fans. GBP has made some progress with him, but I think you are right overall. If one area Golden Boy has to improve it's prospects. Hopefully teaming up with USA boxing will find them some good ones. I have heard nothing from Mares and even the Gabi fight was buried on a PPV undercard.

Nah, Mares is fighting someone else, not sure who. But yeah, Mares is a perfect example of what is wrong with Golden Boy. What have they done with this gentleman since signing him? No doubt once Ortiz gets going that division better watch out. your definatly right there. i've seen victor fight a few times and i have to say he looks very good, and is extremly exiting to watch.

They sign them but they don't promote them right in my opinion.
