What do yall think, i just got thinking about this after seeing baby Cotto see his daddy take a whoopin. it aint right for a young kid like that to be watching boxing. so what yall think is the right age for kids to start watching and take up boxing?
A few great fighters were pushed by there dad to be boxers and they didn't do that bad as a pro.
Roy Jones Jr.
Bobby Cyz
Jerry Quarry
and im sure theres more.
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
My dad got me into watching boxing at a very early age. Like 4 or 5. I loved it and never had any problems from watching it (no violence towards other kids or anything.) As far as when to start the kid in actual boxing, let the kid choose. They will try harder and enjoy it more when they are the ones pushing for it.

Coaches say that its good to start while still in the belly. Pregnant women hate this because of the punches but if you want a winner................
hahah classic
My boy is 10month and he watches fights with me already, well when he isnt throwing things about lol
He will be 18 month when he can come into the gym, he watches me hit my bag at home already and jst sits n smiles n its only time he doesnt crawl about tryin to mess things up
i started taking an intrest in boxing about when i was 5........
then again i wanted to be alot of things that age....a barber, a firefighter, a basketball player, a superhero, yo daddy......
I dont see a problem at any age to be honest...
Of course going to see it live is another matter lol
But yeh a good john ruiz fight always gets my daughter to sleep at night
i mean a young kid could watch and go do silly things at school, like hitting classmates and stuff, i think they would need to be at least a bit mature before getting involved
I got two boys 4 and 6 and they both watch boxing with me. when some one gets koed they say tht he went nite nite. they love watching people being knock out. Am i wrong for that??? cus i feel good that they like that..
I'm not sure. I have a 1 year old daughter but I'm not sure I'd want her watching boxing with me until she's around 10. Maybe it's different for you since you have boys.

I wouldnt be comfortable with them watching boxing (or boxing themselves for that matter) until the age of 10.
I don't remember much of my life from 0-3, dunno how old his son is. He shouldn't bring him to fight night, but thats not my problem.
If I'll get a son I try to make boxing interesting for him from his 6th birthday on.
