The dude is old, he's older than when he lost to Jermain. Kelly beat Jermain twice. Kelly ain't gettin knocked out. He aint getting outworked. He fights outside and hates to clinch, which Joe Calzaghe was letting Hopkins do. He ain't afraid to fight dirty, and he hits like a brick shithouse. Hopkins is old, slow, doesn't like to fight for 3 minutes. What chance, percentage wise, do you give him of beating Kelly Pavlik?
I give him about 30% chance, I would never give someone like Hopkins no chance, he's the kind of fighter that can adapt to almost any situation and it's VERY hard to beat him in a convincing fashion because of the way he fights. Eventually though, the young Pavlik will beat him in the midrounds and on, and the fight will go either for a Pavlik TKO or a Pavlik UD.
Absolutely no chance at all, unless Pavlik comes in less prepared than normal. I just can't see Hopkins winning after seeing how easily he tiered in the Calz fight. This fight should have never been made, but these guys have the right to do this once in a while.
he has some game, but he is slow, his legs are not there....
it's not the same anymore; he could get KO'ed in this one,
maybe not he can hold back and just counter and hope pavlik gets
tired and then throw some punches (counter)
Hate to break it to ya, but giving him 60% means you give pavlik 40%, and the math adds up to Bernard being the favorite...:poke:
Dont worry about it..
It hasnt made me emotionally hurt or anything
Hopkins is the favorite in the fight thank you...
I dont actually believe anything i say but im givin B-Hop
60% chance of winning this fight...

So you believe Hopkins is actually the favorite in this fight?

I went with 50% as an "objective" statistic assuming perfect judging. Realistically, given the judging Hopkins is likely to be faced with (similar to the Calzaghe fight), it's probably closer to 30-40%. If he loses, deservedly or undeservedly, it will be by wide UD. If he wins it will likely be by SD.
I give him 60%
Can never count Hopkins out...
Joe didnt exactly whoop him and Hopkins looks like he still has some game left
So you believe Hopkins is actually the favorite in this fight?
