What if when fans buy a PPV boxing event they got to choose who their purchase supported? Like the money goes to the fighter they are a fan of? Would it be fair?

Impractical, unfair, unrealistic, impossible.......

never thought of that idea ! ... what a great idea though. Then fighters would have to fight to earn there big bucks.
e.g ODLH vs pacman would definatley not happen. even the goldenboy fans would route for pacman in such a stupid fight
Its a good idea, I think it would be better to have a performance basted system for PPV distribution.
Perhaps by punch output. Your opponent throws 150 punches, you throw 50, they get 75% you get 25%
A ref can disqualify an opponet for not punching or any action in a fight.
Let refs be more vocal about low action in a fight and we have a great fight ever time out.
Refs have done this in the past and present, they just don't do it enough.

Oscar would be broke

Should the fighters front all the money it cost to put on a ppv event as well?

honestly, i think ur on to a great idea but there needs to be more detail to it not to mention minor tweeks need to be made for such an idea to become real. it'd all also be difficult to pull off with all the greedy leaches that are in the boxing world.
