We all know who the ATG greats are, who the best of todays young prospects are and who is the man in each division, or at least we think we do! But what about some lesser known and overlooked boxers who deserve to be more well known. Who are they, and why?
Beibut Shumenov is definitely one of the best...
the guy is 6-0 and hes already started fightin 12 rounders since his 4th fight.
guy holds 2 minor belts aswel and in his last fight he beat Montell Griffin, winning every round.
Baysangurov is good, fighting Jamie Moore next month
Shumenov has great potential
Lomachenko is the most talented 20 year old boxer in the world
Tishchenko would definitely be a champ if he ever turned pro
Golovkin is very talented, his promoter Universum is doing a poor job though, he's ready to fight the best middleweights but he's inactive
Frenkel is very good and has a crowd-pleasing style. Sauerland should hurry up and get him his next fight
You may have already heard of them, maybe not.
As always I'm impressed with your knowledge of the young eastern europeans. How do you get the info on those guys????
Jose Medel. Somewhat of a hero in his own country, but RARELY spoken about by boxing fans from other countries. The guy came up the hard way through the boxing ranks. He fought everybody and often on even terms with some of the greatest fighters the sport has seen. His record doesn't do him justice.
Here he is going to war with the all-time great Eder Jofre. Both men hurt, both guys fighting their asses off. This is one of the better fights you will see at any weight (even though this is just highlights).
7:40 - 8:15 is epic.
Medel defeated the likes of the great Fighting Harada, Jesus Pimentel, Walter McGowan and very nearly beat Jofre. He also faced Beccerra and Olivares throughout his career.
Uh yeah...so there is that. Hopefully I introduced or re-introduced a great fighter to you.
I was about to post that fight, it's one of the best I've seen.
Surprisingly few have heard of Eder Jofre also...

Miguel Canto, Mexican defensive artist
Near 6 feet tall bantamweight Panama Al Brown from the 1930's
"The Old Master" Joe Gans fought 100 years ago.

I'm not a great boxing historian but the two dudes that spring to mind.. Les Darcy.. died at 21 as the best middleweight in the world. and Tucan. finding quality info about either is a battle.
Yuriorkis Gamboa - p4p sick.. he keeps his hands down most of the time and uses feet and head movement. but he has skills on par with mayweather.. very fast like young roy jones.. look him up on youtube. you won't be sorry
Haha. I am familiar with Gamboa, though I urge anyone who isn't to follow GreyAlien's advice.
What you guys think of Omar Chavez? He's clearly better then his big bro. Only seen him fight twice..Jus wondering what u guys think of him? Can he be in this category? Great thread
He throws wide and needs to better up that defense other than that I think hes starting good.
A good boxer you guyz havent heard of is me!:boxing:<<<<

Kelly Brook cheated on Billy Zane in that late night softcore porn movie.
NICE ASS. and wholesome face too, but she looks like she could be a bad, bad girl.
I SAW THAT MOVIE
funny as hell
the weird brazilian guy stole her from billy zane and then they try and steal his raft and get away but he puts a hole in it so it sinks while they are in it.
Classic
There might be one on WBVA or somewhere like that, but sadly nothing on here or youtube last time I checked. He's black, but yeah he's similar to Hamed, same trainer, gym etc.
As long as he does better than Ryan Rhodes, I'll be happy.
Maybe it was "the black Hamed" then. Its very important to me because I am a huge racist. I only like Yemeni fighters.
Where can I see this fellow?
I'm not sure. I saw him on an undercard once, and can't remember his first name. Someone else may remember, His last name is Cruz and he trains at the Cotto camp.
Arturo "Jesus Christ" Gatti is the greatest fighter who ever lived
Never heard of him.
But really, The Cotto camp have this young guy called Cruz (Can't remember his first name) who looks pretty good :boxing:
