Yea they brought him up way too quick for his own good...ran into a brick wall with Tito... He was brought up a little fast. But Vargas, prime prime Vargas, was a really exceptional fighter. He could move, box, brawl. He was controlled agression. Had he not got caught in that first round, how differently do you think the fight would have played out? Tito was a killer and he hit Vargas with two clean left hooks that he threw full strength. Vargas still got up and was able to get to the last frame. Without those two knockdowns taking so much out of him, I think his head would have been clearer and he might have stopped Tito himself. But those are alot of "what ifs". Vargas was alot better than people are going to remember. Unfortunetly, people are going to remember the damaged Vargas that fought Oscar and Mosley.
