So is Anyone Disappointed with the Olympic (US) team?
Kind of a bust... and also branded by teddy atlas *(many more soon to follow i believe)* to be the worst olympic boxing team EVER only receiving one ..... 1 MEDAL!!
Not to mention it being BRONZE.

Terrible, it seems like they just grabbed whoever and threw the uniform on them. No standouts this time around.
It was very disappointing considering the USA had 2 world champions in Warren and Andrade that didn't even make the medal rounds and then to have Luis Yanez pretty much do everything opposite to what the coach wanted him to do is disgraceful, they need to get rid of Dan Campbell or something.
Selecting the team 1 year before the Olympics is a stupid idea as well IMO.
The olympic boxing scoring system is so fucked up its hard to judge those fighters based on the olympics fights.
But either way iam kind of dissapointed we didnt get any medals. Especially the US fighter who lost to that french guy... i thought he would definetly medal.
I think by now everybody should realize how overrated yank fighters are.
Now that everyone has a chance to show their skills, the yanks choke like porn stars in the ring.
They did well in other sports but boxing clearly is not their thing...
Am yank fighters if you must say.
And sorry they dont speak for all .... thanx for the response though.
Thread maker, did you attempt to go to the olympics? What happened with that
Oooo no.. never attempted... don't have enough fights i presume.. im 7-1.. been off and on a few years and in the last year/1/2 started getting serious with work and school and BOXING.
i'll probably not go for the 2012... it'll be a lil late for me to go.. by that time should just go pro.
One word, disgrace. This team had talent, actually strong talent IMO. You had two world champions fail badly, you had a guy that couldnt make weight, and then you had cocky guys that danced around or didnt listen. What pisses me off the most are the guys that held back punches and didnt throw. Its boxing, not dancing guys. The USA team has a lot of soul searching just like the Mens basketball team had. I expect good things in 2012 and new coachs to adjust to the rest of the world. USA needs to stop thinking they will just win based on where they are from and their skills. The world has caught up and we need to adjust and dig deep.
Hmmmm..... Did they really hold back, or were they just beat?..... I have to go see the fights and watch them all...
I can't believe i actually thought Estrada would so something.
You Americans have gone soft
The Team you Saw has gone soft... just not the USA' year.
i blame the coach for givig them a hard time when they was training with them.....but i mostly blame that stupid ass scoring system!:damnit1:
are they the worst? maybe.......they could had been better
