I think it was more because the back of Roy's head hit the canvas with a lot of force.
In that case, Hatton was KO'd more because of the ring post, rather than Floyd's check hook.
naw i think the knock down was legit he was just embarrased and stayed down
Those are my exact thoughts. He had his eyes closed after a few minutes, and he was saying to himself, "what the fuck am i gonna say when i get up"
Johnson's right hand landed right on the temple on Jones and put him to sleep. Pretty simple.
Jones also cracked the back of his head off the cavas, He didn't land like that against Tarver.:boxing:
WTF what? Do I need to rephrase? He got caught with a worse punch against Tarver but yet attempted to get up.
Against Johnson, it seems like he isn't even trying to win the fight, gets caught with a punch that didn't look half as hard as the Tarver one, and gets knocked out cold as if hit by Mike Tyson.
And then he is on the floor responding normally with his eyes closed as if he is pretending to be unconcious.
GOOD ENOUGH??? Like I said, a conspiracy theory, not to be taken too serious.

He didnt just get KOed he got tucked in to bed lol
What i wanna know is how long Roy would stayed there if you would of put a pillow under his head and coverd him over with a blanket??

Roy Jones fans. One of kind, im telling you.
These are the people who we are supposed to listen to when talking about his place in history. LOL
No playactin from Roy. He got KTFO plain and simple. I always said this KO was worse than the Tarver one.
yeah he struggled to lift his head, it looked real serious. thank god, he wasn't seriously injured. i think roy does deserve credit for fighting on. I mean after that, he could packed it in and left. that a brutal knockout.
Didn't I already cover that? If my theory was right then Roy's losses wouldn't count against him as much because everybody would just consider them losses when he was washed up and old.
If he had gone on a big winning streak after Tarver knocked him out, that would mean that Tarver defeated a prime Roy. Losing 3 in a row and people start talking that Roy would have beaten them both Johnson and Tarver had he been in his prime.
LIKE I SAID, A CONSPIRACY THEORY, not to be taken too serious.
Jones was still decent, but i believe that the amount of weight he had to lose from the Ruiz fight had a lot of effect on him. While this is true, we have to give Tarver some credit as well. Jones was good enough to beat him in their first fight, so all of a sudden hes completly shot when he was brutallt knocked out a few months later? I agree he was past his best, but he was certainly still a good fighter and many people don't really give Tarver his due.
To tell you the truth I can't see videos like that. I wouldn't wish that on any fighter. That doesn't entertain me. Especially when the fighter that got K.O'd is motionless
Aww have some fun man. If Jones was taken to the hospital after the fight or it was a life threatning moment, then of course it wouldn't have been funny and i wouldn't have even posted it, but he got up about five minutes later and was cleary alright. Be serious, you didn't laugh at the SHOYOUKEN! part or the ''don't wake me, i'm dreaming'' song by Ce Cee and JO JO at the end?
how is that funny? I was worried about his well being. you never want to see any boxer get seriously hurt, no way. I don't care who it is, i always hope that both fighters come out of a fight without even serious damage.
