yea i cant remember who it was but somebody showed me a video of Mayorga basically saying who the fuck is Margarito like if he had never heard of him. lol the funny thing is that if Mayorga beats Mosley which i actually think he pulls out the upset then he will be calling out Margarito count on it! ive always liked Mayorga, boxing needs characters like him... :rofl: sounds like the Mayorga...Its always a good thing to have out spoken people...Brings good climax to a fight...I think in this day and age...sports fans always like to see a humble guy vs a loud mouth, shit talker (just my perosnal opinion)

no doubt Mayorga vs Margarito would be a very interesting matchup. Margarito takes him but Mayorga with his talk outside the ring and aggressive style would make this a fight to be talked about! Its obviously Williams but shit aint happening cause of fuckin Arum at least not now. The fight will happen though sometime next year im sure of it because Margarito will want that rematch and make it happen!

If Clottey does anything resembling what happened in the first fight, margarito will lose, i really think this isnt a good move moneywise because clottey to me, is a loss waiting to happen like you said. If i was Margaritos manager, knowing that de la hoya is on the verge with pacman, and denying our calls etc, i would either advise a layoff or take the williams fight to maximize the cash. Bob has no choice but to pay Margarito a little more now that Goosen went and trew out numbers.

here is the thing with the whole Oscar fiasco. He said he would never fight Vargas either and yet he did. So while I do agree with you that I doubt he fights Margarito, why not just wait until he actually makes an announcement as to who he will fight before people assume anyone is ducking anyone? Not to say that you said that but there are people on here who believe that. anyways if he doesn't fight DLH I do hope he fights PWill next but I won't hold my breath for that to happen by this year. My guess is they will go forward with matching him up against Clottey and then either Mosley or PWill as his first fight next year. sucks but whatever it's not like his is fighting a scrub in Williams' place. You and I both know that the Vargas fight was critical to de la hoyas career, far more than margarito. Vargas was a huge name, huge among mexicans for years, and just a plain asshole who couldnt be denied, plus he spoke english and could reach out to networks like ESPN etc. Vargas beating de la hoya would have been not just big with mexicans, but casual fans who had really been wondering if de la hoya might actually been finished. Vargas was in Oscars head, and genuinely hated him. Margarito isnt doing anything more than trying to get a payday and hanging the mexican thing over his head.

I'm dead serious when I tell you that Margarito has a better chance of getting DLH into the ring than he does Berto in the next 12 months. and I believe you completely, hahaha. its a real shame too.
