i rewatched kessler/calzaghe earlier this week and second time around i seen it a closer fight with cal still slapping his way to victory. i keyed in on his corner inbetween rounds. poor kess. most the time it was like they where in church! very little said. here he is sitting on his stool with a bewildered look on his face and they don't help him! commentators point out that they weren't even putting a coldpress on his swollen eye. of all the euros iv'e seen i think kess needs some proffesional handlers. hope he takes on pavlik or an abraham fight looks good. Regarding the Calzaghe fight, I was disappointed Richard Olesen ordered Kessler to continue the defensive approach until the final round. The consequence of thatwas also seen when Kessler acquired his new coach Jimmy Montoya, who focuses on the offensive part. It made it a bit confusing listening to his corner the last fight, with RO telling Kessler to fight safe, use the jab, secure the win and so on, and then over to JM who continues with 30sek. of fast furious KO strategy, but I guess this is Kesslers way of securing two plans to choose from, the next time he finds his defensive style isn’t enough to win.

Maybe so. But it's not going to happen. Kessler has commited himself to Richard Olsen his entire career. He has said so very convincingly. After the fight Richard Olsen said that he's the best corner in the world. I wont comment that. Is Ottke fully and finally retired now? He needs a loss and I'm sure Kessler could be the man to deliver it. I think he is. Ottke had a comeback planned against Michalschewski but after he pulled out nothing has been heard. I think he should fight Bute if Bute defeats Andrade. After that I would like to see him in a fight on American television and would be happy if he faced any of Miranda, Lacy or Taylor. If he beats any of those then the logical next step would surely be Kelly Pavlik, and after that a move to LHW to face Dawson. That would pretty much be my dream career for Mikkel Kessler. After Haussler I'd like to see him fight ANYONE on US tv. As for careerplan the sketch you made there is difficult to top. Perhaps an unlikely rematch with Calzaghe in between somewhere.

Is Ottke fully and finally retired now? He needs a loss and I'm sure Kessler could be the man to deliver it.

A fight with Taylor would be a good tactical fight and would greatly improve his standing in the U.S. It could open a lot of doors for him.

Bute if he beats Andrade. Kessler already beat Andrade handily enough that even if Andrade wins and gets a belt from Bute, that fight ain't worth it. We'll see if Taylor challenges Froch for the WBC belt later. Froch should have it, and that fight makes sense for Mikkel too. Still wouldn't mind the Miranda fight even tho Edison got KTFO again. ANYONE from the U.S. or atleast in the U.S. so we ALL can see if he has great skills or just above average, because the only great fighter he faced was Calzaghe! I would like to see Pavlik go head up with Kessler!Who do you think he should fight? I would love to see him fight Bute or Pavlik tbh.

bute, taylor, abraham or pavlik. eventually id like to see dirrell fight him once he has some 12 round experience with some contenders. by the time dirrell is able to beat andrade, i think he should fight kessler next. if the matrix is moved right, he can really become THE super-middleweight of our time!
