Pavlik, Jones, Calzaghe, Hopkins

Anyone know who actually pursued who in this fight , nothing much was said and all of a sudden Bhop and Pavlik is on . Pavlik pursued Hopkins after seeing what Abraham did to Miranda

Pavlik vs Calzaghe was an hot issue.....even at the Pavlik-Lockett press conferences.....B-Hop heard the talks and decided that the only way he could position himself for the fight he wants(Calzaghe) is to eliminate Pavlik.....Hopkins would be happy if Roy beats Calzaghe but if Roy doesn't.....Hopkins will have made an case (by beating Pavlik) for a rematch with Calzaghe......Pavlik is still young, but Hopkins, Calz and RJJ are at the end of the road.....they all are lookin' at their place and legacys! Calz has mentioned on more than one ocassion that he would like to retire undefeated......Calz broke Hopkins consecutive title defense record and won a head to head by SPLIT decision....Hopkins CAN'T live with that or should I say retire with that(Calz retiring undefeated) Hopkins is pursuing a REMATCH with Calzaghe......what other reason would he take on BIG BAD Kelly Pavlik at this stage of his career?

these two fights should happen regardless of what happens Jones Vs Hopkins will be their last fight and they sail off into the sunset and the HOF Pavlik Vs Calzaghe Calzaghe sails off back home shown to be the fraud he truly is and Pavlik goes onto bigger and better things

What do you think of this sanerio? Hopkins beat kelly, Then Jones beat Calzaghe. Now we have the dream match ups of Kelly Pavlik vs Joe Calzaghe and the long awaited rematch of Benard Hopkins vs Roy Jones Jr. Your Thoughts. :boxing: I think Jones will KO Calzaghe, it is his LAST and biggest chance to prove himself in boxing. He will fight hungry I think. Also I think Hopkins will suffer his first KO loss, he is getting old and Pavlik has great stamina and even if Bernard spoils round after round he will eventually run out of gas and Pavliks pressure will catch up to him. That being said I wouldnt mind a carrer ending mega-rematch between Jones and Hopkins to see them both off into retirement, both men have been great assets to the sport(mostly Roy :D).

Jones should have just retired after the Ruiz fight, or at least called out Lennox Lewis, fought him and lost, and then retired. But if Jones beat Calz and Hops beat Kel, those would be some terrific and intriguing matchups. Jones vs. Hops would be too close for me to call, but Jones is older in boxing years than Bernard, even though Hops is almost, what, 50? 60? I think Calz would beat Pavlik at this point, too, Pavlik is just too straightforward to deal with Joe's superior boxing skills.

I think Roy has better chance to win then Hopkins.
