Just cause Tony tkoed Cotto in the 11th does not mean that Cotto is overrated and that Mosley beats him easy in his prime. Mosley beat only one elite fighter at 147 in his prime and that was DLH if I am not mistaken. Obviously since you chose to correct my grammar initially you are a stauch Cotto fan. That being said you know in your heart of hearts that Cotto is not an elite fighter ala Sugar Shane Mosely.

Mosley was coming off of impressive wins. The fight was close, but an obvious decision for Cotto. Styles make fights and Marg beating Cotto has nothing to do with Mosley.

A past prim Mosley fought Cotto and got edged out of a decision. I have to agree a Prime Shane Mosley beats Cotto.

Cotto is a great fighter not looking to take that away from him but Mosely wins an easy decision or even KO if they fought a few years ago. Cotto was is a good fighter but I think he was exposed for not being the elite fighter than the media was trying to make him. Also for the record Floyd Mayweather puts such a terrible beating on Cotto or would have. I was not so sure before Tony fight... oh hell yeah. I suspect the only reason why Mosely didn't beat Cotto convincingly in their bout was because he didn't have the energy to press & finish as he typically has in his career when he has a fighter in trouble. I mean no disrespect to Cotto but a prime Shane was a whole other level of fighter. The Floyd issue is almost not worth speaking on because he called out Cotto in the Distant past and could conceivably return and out-skill Cotto in a match. I mean someone who can box as well as Mayweather could definitely decision Cotto--see Paulie Malinaggi who almost did it with a broken jaw & Floyd is a couple of levels above Paulie, I think.

A lotta people think Shane won last year. The Margarito fight ain't got nothin to do wit it. SSM would definitely beat Cotto a few years ago.
