why is it that the most ridiculus voters never explain their votes? the Lewis, Marciano voters need to explain their votes or this poll needs to be public so I can see who's posts not to respect.
i agree!! these retards need to explain themselves!!!
You're dumb, the question is not who can beat who, or Vitali would be there. You can't compare boxers of different generation.
The question is ''who is the greatest''.
stop talking out of your ass!!!
you can compare boxers from different eras!!!
THIS THREAD IS ABOUT COMPARING HEAVYWEIGHTS FROM DIFFERENT ERAS!!!
vitali wouldn't beat anyone!!!! so i don't know why you mentioned that bums name!!
1.Muhammed Ali
2.Joe Louis
the people who voted marciano are a little wrong in the head!!!! close to retarded!!!!!
a prime marciano would get busted up and knocked out in less than 3 rounds buy guys like joe frazier and larry holmes!!! even that overrated, no stamina bum tyson would have butchered marciano!!!
i'll give marciano one thing though, HE WOULD MURDER LENNOX!!!

For me its between Louis and Ali. Louis was more dominant in his era, but Ali was the better boxer.
i never said a punch could get you greatness, and being youngest heavyweight champion dosen't nessicaraly get you greatness either, just watching espn classic about tyson and teddy atlas and bert suagr were asked is tyson is an all time great and bert sugar said he was a sensation but not a all time great, and also frazier's best win is better than tyson's and tsyon era of heavyweights weren't the best either!
Sugar doesnt think Tyson is a great because he went to prison (thats what i belive). Here are his Lists :
Bert Sugar 1991 Top Ten (Boxing Illustrated)

how hard you can punch doesnt measure your greatness
tyson didnt have longevity, but he is the youngest HW champion in history at 20 years old... and thats more than Frazier ever did IMO

i'm kinda torn between jack and joe
i went with jack though ... he didn't have a loss early in his career in his prime sooo you know
there are 2 jacks and 2 joes on that list lol. but I know you mean Jack Johnson and Joe Louis. or atleast I hope you do.

even though he is not on the list i think mike tyson is the best ever!!
no one in history could do what he did. and he is the youngest heavyweight champ ever too.
plus he is a scary mutha fucka
dude dunno about that a prime frazier was brillant he could punch like a muel, and beat some brillant names and was involed in classic fights, pretty close!

Why have you put he beat patterson, louis, he never beat joe louis are you getting mixed up with liston?
lol, my bad. yeah typo. liston is who I meant. its been edited.
ali beat 2 different generations of greats. he beat patterson, louis in the 60's. then in the 3 years that he went to jail and the 3 years he took to get into good form again, was a 6 year period where other great hw's made a name for themselves like Frazier, Foreman, Norton and he beat them too. Ali is truly the greatest hw of all time.
