Who Do you respect more Mayweather or Margarito?!

After everything that has surfaced, it has to be Mayweather for me.

even discounting the fact that Marg plasters his wraps, it's still ridiculous to say you respect him more because "he's more of a warrior" No. He just gets hit a hell of a lot due to poor defensive skills and happens to have a good chin too

I don't care for Mayweather much but always respected his boxing ability. Margarito's hart and will was respected but I was never impressed by his actual boxing skills. Now that the truth has been spoken.....Margarito's hart is now questionable "to me". O.k. he can take a punch but to load your hands is cowardly. AND HE DIDN'T KNOW? YA RIGHT! His record is void as far as I'm concerned. I 99.9% sure he used them in the Cotto fight and if you don't think he did, your in denial!

THEN, we have antonio margarito, a humble person, very respectable, conducts himself like a gentlemen, doesnt talk, he speaks with his fists, . He speaks with his cemented knuckle pads. Mayweather never resorted to that kind of cheating. I respect May more.

I respect Floyd as a fighter but find it impossible to respect him as a person. Margarito on the other hand seems like a humble, down to Earth kinda guy.

Their fighting styles are different. I would lose respect for Mayweather if he ALWAYS went toe to toe and fought like Margarito. He'd be an idiot. It's not to his advantage. He has WAY too much skill to be rather one-dimensional. He is a stick and move fighter. There isn't anything wrong with being defensive. You just have to throw punches, score and have a killer instinct when you got the guy hurt. It's Mayweathers fault, all of a sudden, that he's probably in a division that's 7 pounds north of where he should be? He's fighting bigger guys. Standing toe to toe wouldn't be respectable. It would be stupid. I don't respect idiotic people. Especially when they know better. And if it's one thing Mayweather knows, it's what to do in that ring. Margarito may be more exciting to watch, but Mayweather is fun to watch if you like to see the small, intricate details of the sweet science. And if the 140 pound division was the hot spot, he'd have a couple more stoppages and be even more fun to watch. He followed the money and while I do respect that, I think it does tamper with his legacy a tad. Nonetheless, it's his decision. Nonetheless, it's not like he fought bums ALL THE TIME. I don't dislike Margarito, either. Got thrown in with the wolves, came out of it, had a rollercoaster career and is now on top of the welterweight world. Good for him.
