Who wins the rematch? if there is one, of course.
I'm going with Margarito by TKO, like I did last time.
It's gonna be funny to compare the things people voted for from my previous poll which got over 300 votes.
ppl keep bragging of cotto working the body, thats bs, if cotto tried to go downstairs he would leave his face open and marg being the bigger oppt would throw nasty power punches to cotto's face, its simple margarito is better than cotto and thats it!!!
WTF is everyone talking about.... Cotto has to work on his stamina??? He did , actually most boxers wouldn't have lasted as long as he did!!!
Cotto's stamina isn't the issue..... Tony's unrelentless pressure is what did it. WTF was Cotto supposed to do??? He was already running his ass off, and when he exchanged yeah he got good shot's in but Tony landed harder shots. The thing is No one seems to see the beating Tony took to get his shots in. Both men took a beating, Cotto just couldn't take Tony's shots anymore. I say Tony by SD (in MSG) just because I think Cotto would run a lot more from the beginning of the fight and barely reach the end of the fight.

cotto doesn't have the stamina to go 12 full all out rounds.
I think both fighters rose to the occasion in this fight. I don't know if Margarito could do that again, he already beat Cotto. It might be a different story the next time around but what matters is what happened the first time. If a fighter needs to review tapes, get expert advice after the fact, but can't make those adjustments in the original fight, then how good is he really? And does it really count if he does better the second time around? Not to me it doesn't, but I would still like to see a rematch after a Margo DLH fight.
Cotto wins this one by decision what Cotto has to do is better his stamina and get off the ropes, box in the center of the ring, hammer the body every chance he gets and he wins this one by Unanimous Decision.
Cotto did put on a great fight and i did have him ahead going into the 11th round.
Cotto did make mistakes in the fight. for example staying on the ropes and not working margaritos body. he would also have to pace himself and not be dragged into a brawl because he can't afford to take too many Margarito's shots or get tired. if he was able to apply those things in a rematch he could win a decision.
if not he gets stopped again.
Cotto boxed when he wanted to early on and it wasn't good enough. He slugged when he to later on and that wasn't good enough. His bread and butter, which is his body work, was taken away by Tony's aggression and the threat of his uppercut. Nothin would change, except Tony bein more confident and beatin him worse.
I agree with you, but if Cotto comes up with the right balance of movement and boxing he could win a decision.
No doubt about that, Cotto was beating Margarito up in alot of the rounds.
