If it goes to the cards, I assume Cotto would have been outboxing Margarito to a decision. I think Margarito can knock out Cotto, but not box to a decision.
That was amazing. Worth the ppv.
I was wrong, and right at the same time.:boxing:
What now!!!!!
It was fun gettin in your last shit talking yesterday wasnt it.
Its not even fun taunting cause I knew this would happen.
And you all should have known.
Obviously Cotto is the favorite, and is going to remain a 2-1 or 3-1 favorite. He's got a better record, fought much better competition, is of a higher class, on a higher skill level, undefeated, etc...
But I think a lot of people are really underestimating Antonio in this one, which is usually the case when Antonio fights anybody. He has has a better chance of beating Cotto than any of Cotto's previous opponets IMO. Because he's a naturally bigger man, who's fought men his size and bigger, took their best shots, and never flinched.
You can point to the knockdowns and losses early in his career but c'mon, that's bullshit. That Antonio is nowhere near the level of the Antonio Miguel's fighting tonight. He's got the height advantage, the reach advantage, the weight advantage, the better chin, and he's much more active.
I'm going with Cotto to win because he is the favorite, that's it. But my heart wants Antonio to win it because he's come up the hard way, paid his dues and has been overlooked by everybody his entire career.
All I know for sure is I wouldn't want to be Miguel Cotto tonight in the ring with Margarito, when Antonio feels his back is up against a wall.
And I also wouldn't want to be a Cotto fan when I see Margarito smile back at Cotto after taking Cotto's best shot.
Yall are gonna feel pretty bad in a few hours son.
Yall seem like yall believe deep in your hearts Cotto will win.
When he is gonna get knocked out badly.
No one will bet me.
Mosley was on the decline hand picked.
Could beat many in his class but wasnt the Shane Mosley we all knew and loved.
Judah hadn't won a real fight since Cory Spinks.
But the whole world knew this.
So you honestly don't think that Carlos Quintana, Judah and Mosley were not significant tests for Cotto?
In my opinion, this fight tonight is a close call either way. I think Shane Mosley would handily beat Margarito by decision.

And Judah.
Cotto's past plenty of tests. This is Margs 3rd Welterweight test he got a 70 against Clottey, failed Paul Williams and we'll find out about numero tres in a couple hours.
Im so tired of the preliminary shit talking.....lets go.:boxing:
Cotto has been marketed very well.
Tonight is his first real test.
And what was the fight with Mosley?
no one thinks marg can win a decision? i think its possible that he comes on late and wins a split decision. I predict a margarito TKO, but he can win a decision.
Lmao.. Everyone Is Positive That Margarito Won't Get A Decision Lol

margarito WILL NOT get a decision if both fighters box the entire fight...
i know that much because cottos boxing skills are better...if they BOTH box the WHOLE fight and margarito got the decision it would be robbery.
margarito's win wouldnt be a decision in my opinion...it would be a stoppage (cotto's chin v. margarito's power is NOT EVEN CLOSE...margarito would stop him)...
so a decision for margarito isnt likely...a stoppage is very likely...
same way a KO for cotto isnt very likely (unless its a good body shot but he wont break margarito's chin...its way too strong)...so more than likely if cotto wins its going to be a decision.
if Margarito doesnt respect cottos power, margarito TKO9, if cotto starts confusing margarito with movement or Margarito starts feeling it to the body then i see Cotto UD12
Margarito is a warrior, I just hope his corner will be quick to stop it if hes taking too much punishment. I believe this is going to look like an Arturo Gatti fight every time he attempted to step up.
I'd say Margarito appears to have a stronger jaw than Cotto as far as taking big shots. If Margarito can't rock Cotto, I see Cotto having an opportunity to break him down.
