is the kind of fighter that loses to Sergio Mora.
He should have listened to Marty Denkin when he told him its over.

He's the sole reason we're talking about Sergio Mora LOL. For the rest of his life he will know that Sergio Mora sonned him.
Naw Mora didnt son him. You have to insult him and his people, let him take free shots and laugh, be a 7 to 1 underdog and Knock him the fuck out to son him. Not a close fight on the cards.:D
I guess Mora is Mayorgas step child now. lol

LOL aint that the truth though!
Must be a wounder for him...
My only beef with Forrest is the man has always has an excuse has to why
he lost..
That and the stupid amount of respect he was giving himself after beating Mosley
Im p4p this im p4p that in every interview i aint forgot Forrest lol

If youre young enough to call your opponent a bum and then lose to him, you are young enough to take the criticism for being an overrated slag.
True but that was far from the best Forrest. Not taking anything away from Mora, that was by far his best win.
Ok, take Mosley off his record and tell me who was the best opponent Forrest ever beat? Yet people were talking about him like he was on the top 20 P4P list a few months ago.
I dont think anyone is talking about him like hes a p4p fighter, not even close from what I see. For good reason because he isnt. Forrest isnt good now, but you guys talking like his whole career was a wash. I disagree, he was no bum. As of late he looked more impressive beating Baldomir then Mayweather did.
It was not really a close fight. Vernon won a few rounds early but after Mora started getting more active it was total domination. The scoring was closer than the fight. I had it 8-4 I think to Mora and as I said Vernon had a few good rounds early based pretty much entirley on Mora's lack of activity. The rematch would be wider if anything, Vernon is 100% shot.
I thought it was close, one judge even had it exactly even. No problem with Mora winning tho.
I think you guys are being a bit harsh. He was a solid champion, had great skills. He only lost twice to one fighter. He was so far past his prime in his fight against Mora. Being what? 37 I think. It was a close fight anyway, wouldnt be surprised if he beat him in the rematch

Vince Phillips who was 37 at the time.

Yeh its the mosley wins that gave him the boost wasnt it.
Mosley went on to keep winning and Forrest just came to a halt
after getting steamrolled by Mayorga
Forrest was exposed for the fraud he is. What a total waste. He calls his opponent Mora a bum then the bum rails him for his belt. Whats funny is that Mora didnt look exceptional he just was facing a loser.

Since the loss to Mayorga, who has he beaten? Baldomir, Piccirrilo? He certainly didn't beat Quartey that was a robbery. Forrest has always been overrated and his whole career has been based on beating Mosley. Just as Buster Douglas beat Tyson and no one else.
We are in total agreement sir. Forrest has been overrated since the Mosley wins, which is why the Mora upset didn't surprise me at all.
I think Forrest looked good mostly because of clever matchmaking.

Vernon was a good fighter before. Injuries and 2 Mayo losses fucked him up. He looked good in his comeback, sans the Mora loss and the gift he got against Ike.
