It's so close on so many different levels. How anyone can predict a winner with any degree of certainty is beyond me. I think the two things that we can be certain of are that Margarito needs to come forward to win and Cotto has to avoid leaning in on the inside where he can be susceptible to uppercuts. As Margarito showed in the Lujan fight, he is considerably less effective when he tries to use movement. His game is to bring it and bring it all night. His best bet is to crank up the volume and make it a war. Cotto should box some, but he can't run. Look at the second Daniel Santos fight. Margarito was walking into counter punches whenever Santos stood his ground. Whenever he gave it up, Margarito was given the room to uncoil his long arms and move forward with impunity. The way to fight Margarito is to counter inside of his long, looping punches and keep him from getting set. The faster you run from him, the faster he chases you. I believe Cotto has what it takes to get the job done with Margarito, but by no means is this a walk in the park. Cotto's ability to adapt should be the difference, but with Margarito's punching power and durability you can never be sure of anything. A lot of questions will be answered by both guys, and I think the fans' anticipation for the fight will prove to be justifiable.

They both train hard, and we can see that.. Cotto will outbox Margarito.. Not that Marg aint good, but Cotto is better, I expect Cotto to dish out tons of punishment and that will discourage Marg from throwing so much.. Cotto UD which is likely unless he cuts Marg badly.. Marg is too tough to be KOed.. Cotto will come in strong and will shoot to the head, and body to mix it up..

I didn't know Cotto and his trainer were havin' problems......that makes me more comfortable predictin' Margarito to stop Cotto late....but I'm still not puttin' nothin' on it :lol1: Do it I tell thee! do it!

looking for odds, I guess the confidence in Margarito isn't too strong. What happend to KOing Cotto and 2 months ago........Cotto scared to sign the contract because he knows Margarito will beat him. Yeah but now the fight is signed it's a whole new story bro. Ask ispayder or whatever he called (Check the 100K bet in my sig) he may bet you on the fight :boxing:

I have to work till 11 that night on the west coast but will catch it after work. Its going to be very very hard not to creep on here to get the round by rounds..

I take Margarito in a late rd stoppage or close dec. I think his work rate & size are going to give Cotto problems.

I want Margarito wins, because he will have the balls to call out Mayweather. But Mayweather won't have the balls to fight him. Cotto TKO 11, Margo has a good chin, but he will take to many punches and the fight will be stopped in the 11rd.

I think a late rd surge by Tony gets him the win, by KO or close decision.

I'm looking for some bets but can't find to many people betting on Margarito. Maybe Flawless or Texan want to wager some.
