if he beats margarito as expected. who will arum be putting cotto up against? there's only so many fights to be made. how long can arum protect cotto from williams?
If Cotto beats Tony and there's not an immediate rematch, it makes sense for him to face Paul. Williams looked good at WW in the Quintana rematch and could probably stay there for a lil while longer. The luster of a Cotto fight and the chance to be the WW king might entice Paul not to jump up in weight just yet. If Tony wins, the fight may not happen cuz Paul already beat him and might not feel it's necessary to hang around WW anymore, even if a 2nd win over him would be bigger than the 1st one was.
Hopefully it will happen somewhere down the line, if Cotto wins I don't think it will happen this year though because I think Cotto will fight DLH but hopefully next year.
not with williams moving up. If he stays at 147 or can somehow come back it will eventually. Williams just have to win his next fight, no matter who the name is
What is Arum protecting Cotto from? Williams isn't this unbeatabl guy anymore and he seems to be wanting to fight today's Middleweights, so if that's what he wants to do then fuck it.
I seriously doubt they're worrying or even thinking about Williams vs Cotto now considering Oscar is still in the picture though he's throwing around the Pacquiao vs Oscar fight heavy (which I think is still BS to generate more interest)
i didn't mean protecting as in williams is expected to beat cotto. but if they did fight it would be problematic for cotto I think.

Well...
Williams is talking of moving to 160, so it might not happen. And if Paul does stay at Welter i would guess he would want to get a few title defenses first.
