I thought Lee boxed a very good fight, really controlled the ring at all times, never found himself pinned on the ropes. It was 14 seconds left. Gibbs had been down and almost out. The referee should have stopped the fight at that time. The first priority of any trainer should be to avoid having their fighter seriously injured like Oscar Diaz was, regardless of how much time is left. indeed. but lets use logic and common sense here. do you really think gibbs would've been seriously hurt with 6 seconds left? and it was 6 seconds. I don't know what timer you were looking at.

Hey Manny, Andy is not the best middleweight in the world. Good fight for him though. Nice combinations. Andy Lee was horrible. I don't see him beating anyone of quality unless he seriously steps up his game. He lands, and lands well when he actually throws, but he fought scared the entire fight against someone who wasn't even landing on him. He'd land once or twice nicely and just jump back instead of following up. If Lee is a prospect, I'm a champion.

no its not, the fight was lost and he was gonna take a clean shot the face with his hands down if it went a second longer I doubt it. gibbs would've done just fine with 6 seconds left.

wow, the corner threw in the towel with 6 seconds left in the fight. that is just dumb. He was getting pumbled. I can't see how Lee will become anything special or even a champion at middleweight. I don't see any improvement since the Brian Vera fight becuase he still has trouble with pressure fighters and was even cut in the fight. It was just the opponent in front of him. Any good fighter would just simply have to be durable and bring the fight to him and rough him up on the inside, then he would be toast. If he switched trainers and get Mayweather SR. in his corner, then he could be a better fighter.
